Thank You Pink

When you need a quick thank you card, turn to your background dies. I used a Hexagon Hive for mine. What do you think?

Thank You Pink

Stamps:
   A Greeting for All Reasons

Paper:
   Pink Pirouette A-2
   Pink DSP 5-1/2 x 4-1/4
   Basic White Scraps, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Punching

Accessories:
   Pink Pirouette Striped Ribbon 16"
   White Brad
   Petite Petals Punch
   Artisan Label Punch
   Hexagon Hive Die
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I die cut the DSP panel, using the Hexagon Hive die.

I then stamped and punched the sentiment, using the Artisan Label Punch.

Next, I stamped and punched the small flower, using the Petite Petals Punch. I added a small white brad to the center of the flower.

I then adhered the DSP die cut to the front of the Pink Pirouette card front and added a ribbon.

Next, I attached the sentiment and flower, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Here is another card I made using a Soft Sky color:

Bluebirds

Create a background, using the negative from the Winterly Tree Tops Dies. So, when you use the Winterly Tree Tops Die Cut to create a background, be sure to hold on to the negative piece to create this beautiful background. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Winterly Tree Tops
   Something Fancy

Paper:
   Mossy Meadow A-2
   Basic White 3-5/8 x 5-1/8, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
Negative of Winterly Tree Tops Die
   Smoky Slate 3-1/2" Sq.

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento
   Mossy Meadow

Watercolor Pencils:
   Crushed Curry
   Coastal Cabana
   Cajun Craze

Technique:
   Blending Brush
   Die Cutting
   Punching

Accessories:
   Winterly Tree Tops Dies
   Blending Brush
   Artisan Label Punch
   Glue Dots
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I placed a glue dot in the center of the negative piece and aligned it onto the Basic White panel.

I then heavily blended Mossy Meadow ink all around it, using a Blending Brush. Keep the negative still and in place.

Next, carefully turn the negative piece 180 degrees and continue to blend Mossy Meadow on all four sides. Do NOT add any more ink to your brush. This will give you the two tones of Mossy Meadow. I did have to lift the negative up from the panel and reposition it so that it aligned perfectly.

I then stamped the birds on the Smoky Slate square and die cut them.

Next, I colored the birds, using the watercolor pencils. I used the Cajun Craze on the beak of the birds, the Coastal Cabana was used on the wings and accents on the birds, and the Crushed Curry was used to color the berries.

I then adhered the Basic White panel onto the Mossy Meadow card front, and attached the birds to the center of the panel, using glue dots.

Next, I stamped and punched the sentiment, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and the Artisan Label Punch.

Lastly, I attached the sentiment, using dimensionals and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Drunken Flowers

So, what happens when you drop alcohol ink onto a glossy panel? Look below. Honestly, I thought there would be more of a reaction or mess. Surprisingly, it stayed in place. Did I do something wrong? Did I use the wrong paper? Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Beautiful Bouquet

Paper:
   Taken With Teal A-2
   Glossy 5 x 3-3/4
   Basic Black 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
   Crushed Curry Scrap

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black

Alcohol Inks:
Personal Choice - Purple, Yellow, Blue, Green

Technique:
   Alcohol Inks
   Punching

Accessories:
   Artisan Label Punch
   Gold Metal Buttons
   Glue Dots
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I dropped alcohol inks onto my glossy white panel. The inks do not take long to dry at all.

I then took a black fine tip marker and drew flowers and leaves. Unfortunately, as you can see, the artist, I am not.

I stamped my sentiment on a scrap piece of Crushed Curry and punched it out using the Artisan Label Punch.

I then adhered the glossy panel onto the Basic Black matte and then onto the card front.

I added the sentiment using dimensionals and adhered the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Lastly, I added a few gold metal buttons using glue dots.
