Copper Christmas

The copper elements stand out beautifully against the Night of Navy color. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   None (Christmas Gleaming)

Paper:
   Night of Navy A-2, 3/4 x 3-1/4
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)
   Brightly Gleaming DSP 2 x 4

Ink:
   None

Technique:
   CAS
   Punching

Accessories:
   Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements
   Very Vanilla/Copper Classic Weave Ribbon
   Clear Faceted Gems
   Banners Pick a Punch
   Itty Bitty Accents Punch
   Dimensionals
   Tear & Tape
   Glue Dots
   Fine Tip Glue Pen
   Adhesive

First, I adhered the Brightly Gleaming DSP panel to the bottom of a Basic White panel, using liquid adhesive.

I then added adhesive to a large copper foil star, using a fine tip glue pen. I adhered it to the top of the same panel.

Next, I punched a couple of stars from the extra bits of the copper foil surrounding the foil elements, and adhered them with a glue dot.

I then took the ribbon and cut out a section with "Merry Christmas."

Next, I punched the ends of the Night of Navy strip, using the Banners Pick a Punch. I adhered the ribbon to the center of this strip with a bit of tear & tape.

I then attached this sentiment at the bottom of the panel with a few dimensionals.

Lastly, I adhered the panel to the Night of Navy card front and added the other Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Note: I did not use any stamps on this card, but all of the products and embellishments coordinate with the Christmas Gleaming stamp set.

Bow Tie Gems Too

Do you want to create your own cards or small projects, but you have no idea where to start or what to buy? Don't worry. You are not alone. Our monthly subscription to Paper Pumpkin may be just the ticket. And the fun does not stop there. You end up with extra supplies to continue to create beyond the kit. Here is a card I made using some left-over pieces from a kit along with a few other supplies in my craft room. What do you think?

Stamps:
What a Gem (Paper Pumpkin, July 2016)

Paper:
   Emerald Envy A-2
   Very Vanilla 5-1/4 x 4, 3-1/3 x 5-1/2
   Black Tie Optional DSP 1-3/4 x 4-1/2 (2)
   Copper Foil 1-3/4 x 4-1/2
Triangles from Paper Pumpkin Kit (7/2016)

Ink:
   Emerald Envy

Technique:
   Builder Punch

Accessories:
   Bow Builder Punch
   Glue Dots
   Copper Dots Washi Tape
   Adhesive

First, I made my three bows using my Bow Builder Punch. I then cut triangles from the kit. I measured these on my grid paper to make sure they were each three inches in length.

I then placed my three sets of triangles onto the Very Vanilla 3-1/4 x 5-1/2 panel. I used glue dots to attach them. I placed the top ones first, then the bottom ones, followed by the middle ones.

I then stamped the three sentiments plus the gem at the bottom.

Next, I built my card from the bottom up. The Emerald Envy is the card base, followed by the washi tape with copper dots on it. I placed two strips on each end. See the card above.

I then added the Very Vanilla panel on top, making sure it covered half of the washi strip on each side.

I then attached the bow ties using glue dots. The copper foil one is in the middle.

Lastly, I adhered the other Very Vanilla panel to the inside of the card.
