Four at a Time

Make four different cards at one time. Simply choose four colors, patterns, and sentiments that can work together. Thoughts?

Praying for You Now

Welcome

You're So Sweet

Just Because 4

Stamps:
   Circle Circus

Paper:
   Strawberry Slush A-2 (2)
   Pistachio Pudding A-2 (2)
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (4 for Stamping & 4 for Inside), Scraps

Ink:
   Coastal Cabana
   Crisp Cantaloupe
   Pistachio Pudding
   Strawberry Slush
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:
   CAS

Accessories:
   Swirls Embossing Folder (Cuttle Bug)
   Fancy Fan Embossing Folder
   Square Lattice Embossing Folder
   Petals a Plenty Embossing Folder
   Hodgepodge Hardware (Vanilla, Silver, Antique)
   Adhesive

I chose a stamp set that had circles with various patterns on them to stamp my backgrounds. I chose one color for each pattern. I stamped the 4 Basic White panels, using a stamp from the Circle Circus stamp set and one color from those listed above. I covered the entire panel with that pattern and color.

I also wanted a different texture to each panel. So, I ran each panel through the die cutting and embossing machine, using a different embossing folder for each. They are listed above under accessories.

Next, I cut each panel exactly the same and then exchanged the cut panels so that each card had a piece from each of the other cards.
First cut was to cut one inch from the four inch side of each panel.
Second cut was to cut 1-3/4 off the 5-1/4" side of each 3 x 5-1/4" panel.
Third cut was to cut 2" off the 5-1/4" side of each 1 x 5-1/4" panel.

I then found four sentiments that fit inside each of the Hodgepodge Hardware frames. I stamped them on scraps of Basic White, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

Next, I traced the frame for each one and fussy cut it to fit securely into each frame. You can also just add a glue dot behind it and then place the frame to fit directly on top of it.

I then added a sentiment and frame to each of the 3 x 3-1/2" panels and secured them with their matching brads.

Next, I arranged each of the pieces onto 4 card bases as shown above. I chose to use only two of the colors as card bases.

Lastly, I adhered each panel onto the card front and added a Basic White panel to the inside of each card.

Circles & Stars

Sketch Challenges are fairly easy to meet. These challenges allow you to flip the sketch if you need and you can use any sentiment you like. So, basically, you just need to find a way to fill the shape and size of the sketch. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Apple Blossoms
   Circle Circus

Paper:
   Pumpkin Pie A-2
   Basic White Scraps, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
   Silver Glitter Scraps
   Pumpkin Pie Glitter Scraps
   Basic Black Scraps

Ink:
   Pacific Point

Technique:
   Sponging
   Punching
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Stars Framelits Dies
   1-3/4" Circle Punch
   3/4" Circle Punch
   Washi Label Punch
   Triple Banner Punch
   Sponge
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I stamped and punched the 1-3/4" Circle, using the matching punch and Pacific Point ink.

I then punched a smaller circle (3/4") from a Pumpkin Pie Glitter scrap.

Next, I die cut two silver glimmer stars, using the Stars Framelits Dies and Silver Glimmer Scraps.

I then used the Triple Banner Punch for a Basic Black directional arrow (>).

Next, I stamped, punched, and sponged the sentiment for the card.

I then assembled the card as shown above: the glimmer shapes are attached with dimensionals.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Hello Silhouettes

I think this is one of the easiest baby wipe techniques to use. I applied only one color at a time. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Just Believe
   A Dozen Thoughts

Paper:
   Daffodil Delight A-2
   Glossy Paper 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Jet Black Staz On

Re-Inkers:
   Basic Gray
   Soft Sky
   Cherry Cobbler
   Pumpkin Pie
   Daffodil Delight
   Sahara Sand

Technique:
   Striped Wipe

Accessories:
   Baby Wipes
   Adhesive

I somewhat followed the technique found at SCS for the Striped Wipe technique.

I decided to apply only one color at a time, blending each color with the previous one. I still wanted the swiped look on the card, so I didn't smooth the ink out too much. I applied the colors in the order listed above.

Once the panel was dry, I stamped the silhouettes and the sentiment as shown above.

Next, I adhered the panel to the Daffodil Delight card front.

Lastly, I added a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

I thank you so much for stopping by here and checking out my card today. I do hope you liked it. Contact Me if you need more information.

Flowers on the Side

This card shows the main image off to the side, leaving quite a bit of white space on the card. It bothered me at first, but I think I like it. I believe the ribbon helps to give it some balance. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Flourishing Phrases

Paper:
   Real Red A-2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento
   Real Red

Technique:
   CAS

Accessories:
3/4" Real Red Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon 6-1/2"
   Tear & Tape
   Basic Pearl Jewels
   Adhesive

First, I stamped the flowers on the left side of the Basic White panel, using Real Red ink. None of the flowers were stamped fully on the panel.

I then stamped the sentiment on the top right side of the Basic White panel, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

Next, I added Real Red ribbon on the bottom of the panel and secured it on the back, using tear & tape.

I then adhered the panel onto the Real Red card front.

Lastly, I added a tiny pearl to the center of the flowers and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Hello Flourish

No matter how many times I use this technique, each background is still unique. It is a great technique for large die cuts or big bold stamps. What do you think?

Stamps:
   None

Paper:
   Strawberry Slush A-2
   Watercolor 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic Black Scraps
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Strawberry Slush
   Bermuda Bay
   Yo Yo Yellow

Technique:
   Cling Wrap

Accessories:
   Flourish Thinlits
   Hello You Thinlits
   Cling Wrap
   Adhesive

I followed the tutorial found at SCS for the Cling Wrap Technique. Just click on the link and see written instructions with pictures, along with a short video. You won't be sorry.

Once, my background dried, I adhered it to a Strawberry Slush card front.

I then die cut my flourish and sentiment, using the Flourish and Hello You thinlits.

Next, I adhered them to the card front. I chose not to take away from the background, so I did not add any embellishments, but you can dress it up any way you like.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

I thank you so much for stopping by here and checking out my card today. I do hope you liked it. Contact Me if you need more information.

Hello Little Girl

Sometimes you just want a card that says, "Hello." Here is a Clean And Simple hello card to brighten someone's day. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Thoughtful Banners

Paper:
   Lavender Lace A-2
   Irresistibly Yours DSP 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic Gray 5-3/8 x 4-1/8, 4-1/2 x 2-1/8, 1" Circle
   Basic White 4-1/4 x 1-7/8, 3/4" Circle, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Summer Sun
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Copic Markers:
   Personal Choice

Technique:
   Watercolor (Emboss-Resist)
   Punching
   Coloring

Accessories:
   1" Circle Punch
   3/4" Circle Punch
   Blackberry Bliss Thick Twine
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I must say, the image was a gift, so I cannot duplicate this card. I colored the image using various Copic Markers. Sorry, I did not write down the numbers. Oops.

I then adhered the panel onto a Basic Gray matte and set it aside.

Next, I watercolored a panel of Irresistibly Yours DSP, using Summer Sun Ink. I let it dry for a couple of minutes and went over it with a paper towel to bring out the embossed flowers. This is a pack of specialty paper that is already embossed, but if you need to create it, you can do an emboss-resist technique.

I then adhered the panel onto a Basic Gray matte and then onto the Lavender Lace card front.

Next, I stamped and punched the sentiment, using a 3/4" circle punch and Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

I then added this to a Basic Gray circle matte.

Next, I adhered the image and sentiment to the card front.

I then tied a bit of Blackberry Bliss Thick Twine into a bow and attached it with a glue dot.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

   Crushed Curry A-2, 2" Sq.
   Basic Black 5-1/4 x 4
