Christmas Wishes

I am so happy with this "Feels Like Frost" Designer Series Paper. The 6 x 6 paper pad includes prints of beautiful photographs. So basically, the paper is doing all of the work.

Stamps:
   So Many Stars

Paper:
   Night of Navy A-2, Scrap
   Feels Like Frost DSP 5 1/4 x 4
   Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Night of Navy

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Stamparatus

Accessories:
Stitched Stars Dies, Basic Rhinestone Jewels, Glue Dots, Adhesive

The Whisper White panel is for the inside of the card.

I used a Stamparatus to make sure my sentiment was aligned and as dark as possible.

I die cut the small star and adhered it with a tiny glue dot.

I added 6 rhinestone jewels to add a bit of sparkle to the card. You can use sequins, pearls, Wink of Stella, etc.

Thank you for dropping by here. I appreciate your time and thoughts. What do you think? Feel free to CASE, share, like, and pin my cards.

Foiled Flourish

I created a card with only paper and die cuts. I did not do any stamping on this card, so no ink was required. Can you believe it?

Stamps:
   NONE

Paper:
   Pretty Peacock A-2
   Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4 (2)
   2019 - 20 In-Color DSP 5 x 3 3/4
   Gold Foil

Ink:
   NONE

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
Flourish Thinlits Dies, Well Written Framelits Dies, Adhesive

I die cut two pieces in gold fold. Adhered them to my designer series paper. Layered it onto a Whisper White panel and then onto a Pretty Peacock card base. Glued the other Whisper White panel on the inside of the card. That is it! Clean And Simple (CAS).

Christmas Stamp

A simple Christmas card is always beautiful. A tree with a golden star and a few sequins is all that is needed.

Stamps:
   Merry Christmas to All
   Winter Woods

Paper:
   Always Artichoke A-2
   Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink:
   Garden Green
   Tranquil Tide
   Mossy Meadow

Technique:
   CAS

Accessories:
   Golden Sequins, Adhesive

This tree from the Winter Woods stamp set is a classic. I like the way it stamps lightly in some areas. You don't have to do any of the work. The stamp does it all. Your job is solely to ink and stamp. I stamped the tree and the sentiment. I glued on a few sequins and a star. Then adhered the Whisper White cardstock to the card base. The card is done!

Thank you for your time. Please let me know what you think.

Feel Good Colors

Opposites attract. Do you agree or disagree? I was challenged to use two colors from the opposite ends of the color wheel. Yellow and purple do not look bad together, and Brilliant Blue is keeping them both calm. What do you think?

Stamps:
   By the Bay
   Fabulous Four

Paper:
   Yo Yo Yellow A-2

Ink:
   Orchid Opulence
   Brilliant Blue

Technique:
   CAS

Accessories:
   MISTI/Stamparatus

I do recommend the use of a MISTI or Stamparatus. Basically, you should have the ability to stamp several times in order to get the images as dark as you desire.

I do like this large stamp with all of its detail. I think I will have to stamp it again and then color it. Well, that is another card for another day.

Thank you so much for taking a peek. I appreciate your time. Let me know what you think.

Fall Wreath

With the hustle and bustle of everyday life, sometimes we just want to stop and "Just Breathe."

Stamps:
   Colorful Seasons

Paper:
   More Mustard A-2
   Cajun Craze 4 1/4" Square
   Whisper White 4" Square

Ink:
   Cajun Craze
   Cherry Cobbler
   More Mustard
   Old Olive

Technique:
   Make a wreath by stamping

Accessories:
   MISTI/Stamparatus, Candy Dots, Adhesive

Cherry Cobbler and More Mustard have never looked so yummy together.

To create your wreath:

Place the 4" square in the corner of your MISTI/Stamparatus.

Place one stamp where you want it to stamp.

Pick it up with the MISTI/Stamparatus panel.

Ink it and stamp.

Turn your 4" square to the next corner and repeat until all 4 sides have been stamped.

Choose another stamp and repeat all of the steps until you have a full wreath. I chose two stamps with 4 colors.

Thank you for dropping by here and taking a look-see. I appreciate your time and feedback.

Sweet Christmas

Stampin' Around Candy Wheel is still spinning! A while back I was challenged to create a red, pink, or purple card with candy on it. I immediately thought about my retired candy wheel. I know many of you still have some of these retired products in your stash. I love creating and using up everything I have purchased. So, get your wheels spinning and create!

Stamps:
   Timeless Tidings
   Stampin' Around Candy Wheel

Paper:
   Pixie Pink A-2
   Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Pixie Pink
   Real Red
   Highland Heather

Technique:
   Wheel Alignment

Accessories:
Stampin' Around Wheel Guide, Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details, Pink Brads, Adhesive

As you can see I did mix some current and new colors with my discontinued ones. The great thing about Stampin' Up! is that everything always works together. So, even if something is discontinued it is still usable.

I strongly suggest you use a wheel guide or something that can be used as a wheel guide to make your card. I did clean off the wheel between colors and tried to use different parts of the wheel on my card.

Thanks for taking the time to peek. I appreciate it and your comments. Don't forget to check the clearance section and the specials by clicking on Shop Now.

Kitty

Check out this adorable cat hidden among the leaves. I actually had to punch out a solid Poppy Parade Cat and add it as a shadow so she would stand out a bit.

Stamps:
   Nine Lives

Paper:
   Poppy Parade A-2, Scraps
   Crushed Curry 5 1/4 x 4
   Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4, Scraps
   Irresistibly Yours DSP 5 x 3 3/4

Ink:
   Poppy Parade
   Crushed Curry
   Pumpkin Pie

Technique:
   Emboss Resist
   3-Step Stamping
   Punching

Accessories:
Cat Punch, Postage Stamp Punch, Dimensionals, Adhesive

I took a scrap of Whisper White and stamped my cats. I made two cards, so you will see double of everything. Here are the colors I used for each of the stamps.

As you can see I always stamp on my scratch paper before stamping on my card stock.

Next, I punched out my cats with the Cat Punch.

I then took my sentiment and stamped it on the corners of my Whisper White cardstock. I used my paper snips to cut it out.

Next, I used my Life Changing Brushes from Picket Fence and added three colors onto my Irresistibly Yours DSP. Crushed Curry on the top, followed by Pumpkin Pie, and then Poppy Parade at the bottom. I then took a paper towel and wiped the DSP revealing the white embossed leaves. Here are two panels. Before and After wiping with a paper towel.

Colors can be sponged on if you do not have brushes.

Lastly, I punched out two Poppy Parade pieces using my Postage Stamp Punch. I spread them out to cover two corners of my sentiment. The cat and the sentiment were attached using dimensionals. The other layers were adhered with regular adhesive.

Get Well Lattice

Focus on each pearl and see the center of a flower. The lattice fits perfectly between the window frame and the vellum. The "Get Well" sentiment is inside the card. If you look closely at the center of the window you can vaguely see it through the vellum.

Stamps:
   Perfectly Penned

Paper:
   Lost Lagoon A-2
   Basic Black 3 5/8" Square
   Vellum 5 1/2 x 4 1/4

Ink:
   Basic Black

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
Bigz Lattice Die, Window Frame Collection Framelits (2 & 4 counting from smallest to largest), 4 1/4" Basic Black Scalloped Polka Dot Ribbon, Basic Pearl Jewels, Vellum Tape, Glue Dots, Dimensionals

Cut the window frame on the front of the card.

Die cut lattice and center it on the inside of the window frame using glue dots.

Use vellum tape to adhere the vellum sheet behind the lattice.

Stamp sentiment on Lost Lagoon scrap and die cut it using the smaller window frame. Adhere it to the inside center with dimensionals.

Place a pearl at the center of each flower on the lattice.

Adhere the ribbon to the bottom of the card.

Celebrate with Cake

Celebrate your big day with cake! After all, the cake is always the focal point of all the decorations. And if your celebration is the talk of the town we have the idiom: Her celebration takes the cake!

Stamps:
   Big Day

Paper:
   Basic Black A-2, 2 3/4 x 3 1/4
   Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4 (2)
   Best Year Ever DSP:
      Speckled: 3 1/4 x 1 3/4
      Horizontal Rectangle: 1 1/4 x 4 1/2

Ink:
   White Craft
Blendabilities:
   Coastal Cabana
   Daffodil Delight
   Calypso Coral

Technique:
   Heat Embossing

Accessories:
Embossing Buddy, White Embossing Powder, Basic Rhinestone Jewels, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Adhesive

Since you are heat embossing on black cardstock, it is absolutely necessary to rub the embossing buddy over the black cardstock before stamping and applying the embossing powder. This will reduce the static cling. If you do get white embossing powder where it does not belong, simply brush it off carefully with a small, thin watercolor brush. This white embossing on black gives the impression of a chalkboard image.

Next, color in the sentiment with your Blendabilities, Stamping Blends, Copics, or Markers.

Note that I also colored my rhinestones using the Coastal Cabana Blendability marker. Make sure it is dry before grabbing it to place on your card.

I simply used adhesive to put all the pieces together on my card. You may choose to raise your sentiment a bit and use dimensionals.

Peaceful Lake

Water coloring on a handmade card is always perfect. There are no mistakes. You get what you get. Plus, the card is made with love. So, the result is always classified as a work of art.

Stamps:
   Moon Lake

Paper:
   Soft Sky A-2
   Kraft 5 1/4 x 4
   Watercolor 3 3/4 x 5

Ink:
   Chocolate Chip
   Early Espresso
   Daffodil Delight
   Soft Sky
   Garden Green
   Pacific Point
   StazOn Black

Technique:
   Watercolor

Accessories:
   Aqua Pen, Adhesive

I began by stamping my image with Black StazOn ink. I then added Soft Sky to the top for the sky coverage. Next, I added Early Espresso to the tree trunk and the outline of the canoe. I took a bit of Chocolate Chip to lighten the canoe. The tree canopy and grass were colored with Garden Green. The lake was filled in with Pacific Point. I then decided to add some Daffodil Delight to the sky. This really helped to differentiate the sky and the lake. I then stamped my sentiment and then adhered the layers to the card base.

I always work with a paper towel in case I use too much water or the ink is too dark.

Thank you so much for stopping by here. I appreciate your time and feedback.

Rain Dance

Watercolor Embossing Resist is the name of the technique used on the Color Me Irresistibly Designer Series Paper.

Stamps:
   Beautiful You (SU)
   Blue Skies (Verve)

Paper:
   Island Indigo A-2
   Color Me Irresistibly 5 1/4 x 4
   Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Soft Sky
   Tuxedo Black Memento
Markers:
   Island Indigo
   Pool Party

Technique:
   Watercolor
   Watercolor Embossing Resist

Accessories:
   Aqua Pen, Adhesive

All I had to do with this Color Me Irresistibly DSP was to cut it to size. Watercolor on it with my Soft Sky. Let it dry. Then wipe it down with a paper towel and watch the raindrops pop out on the paper. I then stamped my Beautiful You dancer and the sentiment from the Blue Skies stamp set. I used my Island Indigo marker to color in her dress and hat. The Pool Party marker was used to color in the puddle underneath her feet. I then wiped these down to make sure the raindrops came through. I was so excited about this that I did not pay attention to the direction of the raindrops. Oops! I think it is fine. What do you think?

Thank you so much for stopping by here. I appreciate your time and your thoughts.

Birch Trees

I really like the look and feel of an embossed image with a colored background. This one in particular also fits the Birthday and Masculine categories.

Stamps:
   White Christmas
   Bring on the Cake

Paper:
   Whisper White A-2, 5 1/4 x 4, 3/4 x 4

Ink:
   Lost Lagoon
   Archival Basic Black
   Sahara Sand
Markers:
   Watermelon Mambo
   Early Espresso
   Basic Black

Technique:
   Dry Embossing
   Sponging

Accessories:
Woodland Textured Embossing Folder, Sponge Dauber, Sponge, Adhesive, Dimensionals

So, how do you get the color behind the embossed image?

First, open the embossing folder.

Second, rub your desired ink pad onto the smooth side of the folder.

Third, carefully place your 5 1/4 x 4 Whisper White cardstock onto the folder. *Do NOT move the paper, or you will smear the ink.

Fourth, close the folder. *Again, do NOT move the paper.

Fifth, run it through the Big Shot.

The ink transferred onto the background of the paper and the embossed image appears raised and white.

I then stamped the cardinals and colored them in with my Watermelon Wonder marker. I also colored in the indentations of the birch trees with my Early Espresso marker.

I used my sponge dauber to lightly sponge the birch trees with Sahara Sand.

Lastly, I created a Happy Birthday tag, sponged it, and adhered it with dimensionals.
