Happy Birthday Text

Can you imagine a world with no paper copies of books, newspapers, magazines, cards, or manuals? With all of the technological advancements, these have become obsolete. Yes, I included cards. Many are sending their sentiments and greetings virtually. What are your thoughts?

Stamps:
   Sunburst Sayings

Paper:
   Basic Black A-2, 1-3/4" Circle
   Printed Paper 5-1/4 x 4
   Very Vanilla 5-1/4 x 4, 1-1/2" Circle

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Punching

Accessories:
   Sunburst Thinlits Dies
   1-3/4" Circle Punch
   1-1/2" Circle Punch
   Adhesive

I started with my printed sheet. I cut it to size and ran it through the embossing and die cutting machine, using the Sunburst Thinlit Die.

Next, I adhered it to a Basic Black card front.

I stamped and punched out my sentiment, adhered it to a slightly larger circle and stuck it in the center of the sunburst.

I then added the other Very Vanilla panel to the inside of the card.

Burst of In-Colors

Colors bring happy to the world. Every year Stampin' Up! introduces 5 new colors that will stick around for 2 years. I decided to document the colors for the year 2016 by stamping with each color and including a piece of cardstock. I do like this design and idea. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Sunburst Sayings
   Gorgeous Grunge

Paper:
   Basic Black A-2
   Whisper White 5 x 6-1/2, 5-1/4 x 4
   Gold Glimmer 5 x 6-1/2
   Peekaboo Peach 1-1/4" Circle
   Flirty Flamingo 1-3/8" Circle
   Sweet Sugarplum 1-1/2" Circle
   Emerald Envy 1-3/4" Circle

Ink:
   Dapper Denim
   Emerald Envy
   Flirty Flamingo
   Peekaboo Peach
   Sweet Sugarplum

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Punching

Accessories:
   Sunburst Thinlits Dies
   1-1/4" Circle Punch
   1-3/8" Circle Punch
   1-1/2" Circle Punch
   1-3/4" Circle Punch
   Dimensionals
   Paper Snips
   Adhesive

First, I die cut the sunburst in Whisper White and Gold Glimmer.

Next, I stamped each ray with a color: 2 colors are stamped 3 times, and 3 colors are stamped 2 times = 12 rays. I used a stamp from Gorgeous Grunge for this.

I punched a circle from 4 of the colors and stamped the sentiment using Dapper Denim. The colors are listed in order under the paper heading. They are adhered together using liquid glue.

I used liquid glue on the back of the rays to attach them to the Basic Black card base. First the Gold Glimmer paper, then the stamped Whisper White. I then trimmed the rays down to size.

The center is attached using dimensionals. The 5-1/4 x 4" Whisper White panel is for the inside of the card.
