Falling Leaves

I like the detail on these leaf stamps. I also like the look of some of them half stamping on the card. Using the white embossing powder also highlights this feature. What do you think?

Stamps:
   French Foliage
   Banners For You

Paper:
   Cajun Craze A-2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside), Scrap

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Cajun Craze
   Whisper White Craft

Technique:
   Heat Embossing
   Die Cutting
   Sponging

Accessories:
   Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies
   Sponge
   White Embossing Powder
   Dimensionals
   Brads
   Adhesive

First, I randomly stamped various leaves on the card front, using Whisper White Craft ink.

I then quickly applied White embossing powder, heat set it, and placed it aside to cool.

Meanwhile, I took a scrap of Basic White and stamped a sentiment and banner from the Banners For You stamp set.

I then die cut it and sponged the edges, using Cajun Craze. I attached it to the center of the card front, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added a couple of brads on each end of the banner and adhered the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Water Well

This card features a Vintage Watercolor Technique. You can find the tutorial that I followed at Vintage Watercolor. Although the technique looks a bit difficult, I found it to be fun. I like the smudges and the script. What do you think?

Stamps:
   In the Meadow
   French Foliage
   Countryside

Paper:
   Wild Wasabi A-2
   Chocolate Chip 5-1/4 x 4
   Watercolor 3-3/4 x 5
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Chocolate Chip
   Watercolor Pencils

Technique:
   Vintage Watercolor

Accessories:
   Aqua Painter
   Masks
   Adhesive

I did follow the steps on the tutorial, but I made it mine by using the supplies I had available.

First, I created my masks: wheel-barrel and water well. I stamped the image on a scrap piece and fussy cut it out. I then applied a tad of temporary adhesive to the back. This way I could hold it in place, but remove it when I was done. Some adhesive is both temporary and permanent, depending on how you apply it.

I then stamped my water well on the left side of my panel and the wheel-barrel on the right side.

Next, I placed my masks over these images. I then stamped the other images. I began with the script writing on the top of the panel, followed by the trees, grass, and flowers.

I then removed the masks and colored in my images, using my watercolor pencils.

Then came the fun part, I applied water to the images. I kept a paper towel handy just in case I got carried away.

I then added the water spots and smudges. I think it turned out nicely. This is definitely a one of a kind card. Have fun and get creative with your supplies.
