Capital Thank You

I like to cut my coloring book pages and use them as backgrounds on my cards. Obviously, not all of them are worthy to place on a card, but some do make the cut. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   None

Paper:
   Peekaboo Peach A-2
   Basic Black 5-1/4 x 4, Scraps
   Coloring Book Page 3-7/8 x 4-5/8
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   None

Markers:
   Various Colors - Personal Choice

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Little Letters Thinlits Dies
   Adhesive

First, I die cut the letters on scraps of Basic Black, using the Little Letters Thinlits Dies.

I then arranged the sentiment, THANK YOU, on the coloring book page and adhered it.

Next, I adhered three left-over strips of Basic Black diagonally and horizontally around the sentiment to accent it. I trimmed off the edges of each strip.

I then adhered the panel onto a Basic Black panel and then onto the Peekaboo Peach panel.

Lastly, I added a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Fall Leaves

Sometimes we just want a seasonal card to say hello to someone. This is just the tool to rekindle that amazing relationship. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Vintage Leaves
   Fall Fest
   Tie Dyed

Paper:
   Lemon Lime Twist A-2
   Early Espresso 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic White 4-7/8 x 3-3/4, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Peekaboo Peach
   Lemon Lime Twist
   Early Espresso

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Little Letters Thinlits
   Leaflets Framelits Dies
   Fun Fall Framelits
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I stamped the background with the Tie-Dyed stamp: Peekaboo Peach on top and Lemon Lime Twist on the bottom. I inked and stamped full strength in the center and then stamped-off once for the sides.

I then stamped and die cut various leaves and a pumpkin with the Leaflets Framelits and the Fun Fall Framelits.

I die cut the word "FALL" using the Little Letters Thinlits.

I sponged and crinkled the leaves to add a bit more texture.

I then arranged them on the card.

I attached the leaves using dimensionals.

Next, I adhered the letters with adhesive and adhered the panel to the Early Espresso panel and then onto the card front.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Moonlight Thanks

This is such a perfect eclipse that it camouflaged the THANKS across the front. I added a few rhinestones to draw the onlooker's attention, but it is definitely hidden. What do you think? Can you see it?

Stamps:
   None

Paper:
   Misty Moonlight A-2, Scraps
   Harvest Meadow DSP 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   None

Technique:
   Two Tier Eclipse

Accessories:
   Little Letters Thinlits Dies
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   Adhesive

First, I die cut THANKS across the front of the DSP panel. I set the letters aside, making sure to keep all the pieces. (inside of A)

I then adhered this DSP panel onto the Misty Moonlight card front.

I took scraps of Misty Moonlight and die cut four pieces of each letter. I adhered all of the letters together with the DSP letter on the top. I then adhered these in place on the card front.

I added a few rhinestones and the basic white panel to the inside of the card.

You can see the tutorial for this technique at SCS: Two Tier Eclipse.

Here is another picture of the card:

Orange Fall Leaves

I like the sights and sounds of fall. The leaves crackle as you walk on them, and if you listen closely, you can hear them hit the ground when they fall off the tree. Many children cannot resist a pile of leaves. Just as you finish raking, children feel compelled to jump into the freshly made pile. The sound of so many leaves being crushed at once, along with the giggles of the kids having so much fun is a delight to my ears. Here is a simple card in orange.

Stamps:
   Colorful Seasons

Paper:
   Pumpkin Pie A-2
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4, Scraps
   Basic Black Scraps

Ink:
   Pumpkin Pie
   Dusty Durango
   Tangerine Tango

Technique:
   Dry Embossing
   Die Cutting
   Sponging

Accessories:
   Layered Leaves Embossing Folder
   Seasonal Layers Thinlits
   Little Letters Thinlits
   Sponge
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I dry embossed my card front using the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This is a 3-D embossing folder that can tear your cardstock if it is too thin. You can easily spritz it with a bit of water to prevent the tearing.

I then sponged my card front with a bit of Dusty Durango.

Next, I stamped, sponged and die cut several leaves using my Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies. I stamped and sponged the leaves using Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, and Dusty Durango.

Once I die cut and sponged them, I crumbled them up a couple of times to loosen up the fibers and create a textured feel to them. I adhered them using dimensionals.

The letters were die cut with the Little Letters Thinlits. I adhered these using liquid glue. I should have arranged these letters in more of a "falling" pattern.

The other Whisper White panel is for the inside of the card.

Thank you so very much for being here. I appreciate you taking the time to glance at my work. Please Contact Me if I can be of service.
