Flaky Christmas

Here is another blast from the past. Every once in a while, I like to visit some of my favorites. Do you remember this one?

Stamps:
   Endless Wishes

Paper:
   Basic White A-2, 3 x 3-1/2, 1-1/4 x 3-1/2, 2-1/2 x 1-3/4, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
   Coastal Cabana 5-1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Coastal Cabana
   Smoky Slate

Technique:
   Sponging
   Punching

Accessories:
   Decorative Label Punch
   Snowflakes & Silver Sequins
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I randomly stamped snowflakes on the two Basic White panels (3 x 3-1/2 & 1-1/4 x 3-1/2), using Coastal Cabana and Smoky Slate as shown above.

I then adhered the larger panel on the top portion of the Coastal Cabana panel, and the smaller panel on the bottom of it, leaving a space between the two panels.

Next, I adhered this panel onto a Basic White card front.

I then stamped the sentiment on a 2-1/2 x 1-3/4 Basic White piece, using Coastal Cabana ink.

Next, I punched out the sentiment, using the Decorative Label Punch and sponged the edges with Smoky Slate.

I attached the sentiment, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added some snowflakes and silver sequins to the front of the card and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Ornaments and Pine Cones

The background was created by blending alcohol inks. This means that each background will be unique.

Stamps: Ornamental Pine, Work of Art, Endless Wishes
Paper: Tempting Turquoise A-2, Glossy White 5 3/8 x 4 1/8
Ink: Alcohol Ink Blend, Tempting Turquoise, StazOn Timber Brown, Gold
Technique: Heat Embossing
Accessories: Alcohol Ink Applicator, Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Adhesive

The alcohol inks I blended were blue, yellow, brown, and red. You drop each color onto the felt applicator that has slightly been dipped in alcohol. Try to keep the color separate. You then lightly spray your glossy paper as well and then apply the colors and see the magic. You set your background to dry for a bit. Then stamp, heat emboss it, and assemble.

In retrospect, I would stamp my sentiment first to make sure the snowflakes would not interfere with it.

Although these stamp sets have been retired, you can easily use any stamp set you currently have in your supplies. The alcohol ink blending is easy and exciting to use. Have some fun.
