Silver Ornament

Although there are many ways to adhere intricate die cuts onto your cards, I find that multipurpose adhesive sheets are the way to go. Simply apply your paper onto an adhesive sheet, die cut, peel off the backing, and apply to your project. Have you tried it? Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Beautiful Baubles

Paper:
   Smoky Slate A-2
   Night of Navy 5-3/8 x 4-1/8, 5-1/4 x 2, 2-3/4 x 2-1/2 (Adhesive-Backed)
   Siver Glimmer 2-1/4" Circle, 3/4 x 5-1/8 (Adhesive-Backed)
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2), 5-1/4 x 1

Ink:
   Night of Navy

Technique:
   Dry Embossing
   Die Cutting
   Punching

Accessories:
   Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder
   Detailed Baubles Thinlits
   Flourish Thinlits
   Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
   2-1/4" Circle Punch
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I dry embossed the Basic White strip, using the Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder. I adhered it to the top of the Basic White panel.

I then adhered the Night of Navy 2" panel to the Basic White panel right under the dry embossed piece.

Next, I die cut the adhesive-backed Night of Navy piece, using the Detailed Baubles Thinlit die. I peeled off the backing and adhered it to the Silver Glimmer Circle.

I then die cut the adhesive-backed silver glimmer strip, using the Flourish Thinlit die. I peeled off the backing and adhered it to the center of the Night of Navy strip on the Basic White panel.

Next, I added dimensionals to the back of the ornament and adhered it to the left side of the Night of Navy strip as shown above.

I then stamped the sentiment on the bottom right of the Basic White panel.

Next, I matted the panel with a Night of Navy matte and then adhered it to the Smoky Slate card front.

Lastly, I adhered the other Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Swirly Blue Candles

This stamp set is one of the easiest to stamp. Even the candle flames are easy to line up. You can easily add embellishments to the card if you like. This is definitely one that can be easily duplicated. You can even change the colors to suit your own taste. What would you do?

Stamps:
   Merry Patterns

Paper:
   Night of Navy A-2
   Balmy Blue 5-1/4 x 4
   Pineapple Punch 3 x 4
   Whisper White 2-7/8 x 4, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Night of Navy
   Balmy Blue
   Pineapple Punch

Technique:
   Dry Embossing

Accessories:
   Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder
   Adhesive

First, I dry embossed my background and adhered the Balmy Blue panel to the Night of Navy card base.

Next, I stamped my candles and sentiment. I filled in one set of candles with Night of Navy and the other set with Balmy Blue.

I then stamped the candle flames with Pineapple Punch.

I adhered the Whisper White panel to the Pineapple Punch panel, and then onto the middle of the Balmy Blue embossed panel.

Lastly, I adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

I chose to keep this card simple, but you can easily add some rhinestones, pearls, sequins, or any other embellishments that you please.

Patina Hugs

This technique offers a masculine look and feel to a card. I say this only because patina is the greenish or brownish tint on metal caused by oxidation over time. Although most things are no longer gender specific, I still associate metal with men. I'm not even sure why because I have handled plenty of tire irons in my day. Anyway, I do like this background displaying a faux patina technique. What do you think?

Stamps:
   So Sentimental

Paper:
   Marina Mist A-2
   Always Artichoke 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (2), 2-1/4 x 2

Ink:
   Crumb Cake
   Marina Mist
   Always Artichoke
   Early Espresso
   Merry Merlot

Technique:
   Faux Patina
   Sponging
   Die Cuttting

Accessories:
   Stitched So Sweetly Dies
Swirls & Curls Textured Embossing Folder
   Metallic Pearls
   Sponge
   Gold Embossing Powder
   VersaMark
   Embossing Buddy
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

There is a tutorial for the Faux Patina technique. You can find it HERE.

I did use this technique exactly as directed. I even used the same colors that were suggested.

The die cutting and sponging were done on the tag.
