Rich Butterfly OSW#5&6

Butterflies fluttering around beautiful flowers is one of those moments where you must STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN. Here is a 3-D butterfly among a few beautiful flowers. Can you see her?

Stamps:
   Abstract Impressions

Paper:
   Rich Razzleberry A-2, 4 x 2-1/4
Share What You Love DSP 5-1/2 x 4
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Mossy Meadow

Technique:
   One Sheet Wonder
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies
Share What You Love Embellishment Kit
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   Dimensionals
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

I used a full 5-1/2 x 4" panel as a backdrop for this gorgeous butterfly. I like to use rhinestones for the butterfly's body. I think it adds just the right amount of sparkle and attention.

The tag is from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit. I attached it using dimensionals.

This is the template I used on the 12 x 12 DSP:

I used the top-right and middle-left panels. (5&6)

Kind Flowers OSW#1&2

I began with a 5-1/2 x 4" panel and cut it in half so that it measured 2-3/4 x 4. I was then able to make two cards instead of one. There are so many colors to choose from for the card base. I chose the Grapefruit Grove. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Abstract Impressions

Paper:
   Grapefruit Grove A-2
   Share What You Love 2-3/4 x 4
   Rich Razzleberry 1-1/4" Sq. (2)
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Mossy Meadow

Technique:
   One Sheet Wonder
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies
   Basic Pearl Jewels
   Adhesive

These supplies are listed to make one card. If you are making two cards, then double them.

The DSP is double-sided, so you can easily flip the paper and create two distinct cards. I kept mine the same.

You can also place the DSP on the top or middle of the card front. I chose to keep mine the same on both cards.

The possibilities are endless when you are creating. Have some fun!

This is the template I used to cut my 12 x 12 DSP:

I used the top left panel and made two cards from the one panel.

Love One Sheet Wonder 9 Cards

How much designer series paper (DSP) should a person use on a card? Every person who answers this question is correct. You can choose to use none or to cover the card inside and out with DSP. Here I took one 12 x 12 sheet and used all of it to make 9 cards.

Stamps:
   Abstract Impressions

Paper:
   Grapefruit Grove A-2 (4)
   Rich Razzleberry A-2 (2), 4 x 2-1/4 (2), 1-1/4" Sq. (4)
   Mint Macaron A-2 (2)
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (9)
   Basic Black A-2, 3-1/2 x 3-1/4
   Vellum 5-1/4 x 4
Share What You Love DSP 12 x 12

Ink:
   Mossy Meadow

Technique:
   One Sheet Wonder
   Die Cutting
   Punching

Accessories:
   Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies
   Happy Birthday Thinlits Dies
   Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack
Share What You Love Embellishment Kit
   Pearlized Doilies
   Velvet Ribbon
   Basic Pearl Jewels
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet
   Dimensionals
   Glue Dots
   Vellum Tape
   Adhesive

The template to cut my 12 x 12 DSP is:

I always begin by cutting my 12 x 12 sheet into three 4" strips, making sure my paper is facing upward.

I then cut each strip at 5-1/2, 5-1/2, and I have 1" left over.

I then play with each 5-1/2 x 4" panel.

The first panel I cut in half, giving me two cards:

Kind Flowers OSW#1&2

The second panel, I cut into 1" strips. I used 2 strips on each card, giving me two cards:

Velvet Love OSW#3&4

Panels 5, 6, 7, & 8 were left intact:

Rich Butterfly OSW#5&6

Birthday Flowers OSW#7

Mossy Thank You OSW#8

I then took the three 1 x 4" strips and used them on the last card:

Flower Hugs OSW#9

Each of these cards will have their own post.

Rococo Garden

There are so many ways to express gratitude. Obviously, the most common is simply to say, "Thank You." While this is perfectly acceptable, I like the uncommon phrase, "Kindness changes everything."

Stamps:
   Abstract Impressions

Paper:
   Mango Melody A-2
   Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4
   Rococo Rose 1 1/4 x 4 (Flower Die Cuts)

Ink:
   Pear Pizzazz
   Rococo Rose
   Mango Melody

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   2-Step Stamping

Accessories:
Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies, Basic Rhinestone Jewels, Fine Tip Glue Pen, Adhesive

I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere the die cut flowers onto the card. I added rhinestones to bring a bit of bling. Of course, this is a preference. You can use brads, sequins, candy dots etc. Whatever you have on hand.

The 2-step stamping was used on the flower stems. I opted out of adding the second step to the flowers.

Thank you for stopping by here. Your opinion matters, so feel free to leave it. Come on, you'll feel better, and possibly make my day.
