Passion Flower

If you have any of your supplies from the discontinued Pretties Kit, here is an idea on using them. The flowers were white. I added ink to a plastic container, added a bit of water with a spritzer, and dyed the flowers. I let them air dry and then attached them to the card. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Bloom with Hope

Paper:
   Pink Passion A-2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Pink Passion Ink Refill

Technique:
   Dyeing

Accessories:
   Pretties Kit
   Paper Towels
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I dyed the flowers, using Pink Passion ink refill. I used a small plastic container that Stampin' Up! used for the wooden stamps.

To dye the flowers, I added a few drops of Pink Passion ink to a small plastic container. I then sprayed water into the container to create enough liquid for the flowers to absorb. I then added the flowers. Using a pair of tweezers, I swished and turned them, until they were thoroughly dyed. I pulled them out and laid them on paper towels to dry.

I then stamped the sentiment onto the bottom right corner of a Basic White panel.

I adhered the panel to the Pink Passion card front.

Next, I added the flowers, using glue dots. You can use any combination of flowers from the kit. They do layer nicely together.

Lastly, I added pearls from the kit to the center of each flower and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Flower Garden

This is an all occasion card to give to the person who likes flowers. I decided to just randomly stamp flowers and color them. The inside of the card is intentionally left blank for your own personal message.

Stamps: Bloom with Hope
Paper: Pacific Point A-2, 4 1/2 x 3 1/4, 3 1/2 x 2 1/4, Whisper White 5 3/8 x 4, 3 x 4 1/4, 3 1/4 x 2
Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento
Blendabilities: Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana, Soft Suede
Technique: Triple Layering, Dry Embossing
Accessories: Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Temporary and Permanent Adhesive

To get the triple layering effect you must glue the Whisper White card stock with temporary glue. Stamp it and color the images. Then run it through your embossing machine using the Square Lattice embossing folder. You then carefully pull the card stock apart. The largest piece adheres to the card base. You then add the pacific point to the other two pieces and glue them onto the card aligning the images.

I do like the texture that the embossing folder adds to the card. Remember you can use this technique with any stamp set you have available.

Thank you so much for stopping by here. Let me know if you need anything. I appreciate your feedback.
