Golden Blessings

Create unique cards using alcohol inks. I have found that even if I use the same colors and application, each panel will still be different. Give it a try and have some fun. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   More Merry Messages

Paper:
   Very Vanilla A-2, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
   Early Espresso 5-1/4 x 4
   Glossy White 3-3/4 x 3-1/2
   Gold Foil 2-1/2" Circle

Ink:
   Metallic Gold

Alcohol Ink:
   Stream
   Wild Plum
   Butterscotch

Technique:
   Alcohol Inks Baubles
   Heat Embossing

Accessories:
   2-1/2" Circle Punch
   Gold Embossing Powder
   Embossing Buddy
   Holiday Ornaments Framelits Dies
   Sequins
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

I followed the tutorial found at SCS for Alcohol Ink Baubles. There are written instructions along with a short video. Check it out.

I heat embossed the sentiment with Gold Embossing Powder on the bottom of the Early Espresso panel. Make sure to wipe the panel down with the embossing buddy before you begin.

I die cut ornaments from the alcohol ink backgrounds and adhered them onto the panel, and onto a gold foil circle.

Next, I adhered the Early Espresso panel onto the Very Vanilla card front.

I added a few sequins and adhered a Very Vanilla panel to the inside the card.

Sticky Manger

I made this Christmas card, using the "free" stickers that come in the mail as an added bonus. I can't remember when or from what organization these were sent, but I think they work on this card front. What do you think?

Stamps:
   More Merry Messages

Paper:
   Basic White A-2, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Markers:
   Island Indigo
   Crushed Curry
   Soft Suede

Technique:
   Acrylic (Clear) Block Background

Accessories:
   Stickers
   Adhesive

First, I colored my clear block with my markers: Island Indigo at the top, Crushed Curry in the middle, and Soft Suede at the bottom.

I then misted the block with water and stamped it on the Basic White card front.

Once the panel was dry (just a minute or so), I added the stickers, creating the card front.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment at the top and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Snowy Trees

I added snow on these trees with a white gel pen. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Peaceful Pines
   More Merry Messages

Paper:
   Whisper White A-2, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
   Real Red 5-1/4 x 4
   All Is Calm DSP 5 x 3-3/4
   Pear Pizzazz Scraps

Ink:
   Pear Pizzazz
   Real Red

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Perfect Pines Framelits Dies
   White Gel Pen
   Adhesive

First, I stamped and die cut the trees, using Perfect Pines Framelits and scraps of Pear Pizzazz.

I added snow, using a white gel pen.

I stamped a sentiment on the top of a 5 x 3-3/4 All Is Calm DSP panel, using Real Red ink.

Next, I adhered the trees to the DSP panel and trimmed down any parts that hung past the panel.

I then adhered the panel onto a Real Red panel and then onto the Whisper White card front.

Christmas Sweater

This is a simple, yet elegant Christmas card that is easy to duplicate and send out to everyone on your list. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   More Merry Messages

Paper:
   Cherry Cobbler A-2
   Warmth & Cheer DSP 2-1/2 x 4-1/4
   Basic Black 4-1/4 x 1/4, 3-1/2 x 2-1/2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Dry Embossing

Accessories:
   Layering Ovals Framelits
   Cable Knit Embossing Folder
   White Gel Pen
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I stamped and die cut my sentiment using the Layering Ovals Framelits and Basic White cardstock.

I then cut the next larger scalloped oval in Basic Black, and placed a white dot on each scallop using a white gel pen.

I adhered these two layers together using liquid adhesive. This was attached to the top of the card front using dimensionals.

Next, I dry embossed the Warmth & Cheer DSP panel using the Cable Knit Embossing Folder. I did spray a bit of water on the DSP to prevent tearing.

I adhered the DSP to the bottom of the card using liquid adhesive.

I added a thin strip of Basic Black to cover the seam and pull the card together.

Lastly, I adhered the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

You can easily dress this up more by adding rhinestones, pearls, sequins, or snowflakes.

Oh, Christmas Tree

 Merry Christmas Everyone!

If you want to get messy today and spread glitter everywhere, this is the technique for you. It is a faux suede technique with a twist. It is called Iced Leather. Of course, I am speaking of only the background. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Santa's Sleigh
   More Merry Messages

Paper:
   Emerald Envy A-2, 4-1/4 x 2-1/2 (3)
   Basic White 1-3/4 x 2-1/4, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
   Pool Party 5-1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Emerald Envy

Technique:
   Iced Leather

Accessories:
   Sanding Block
   Heat & Stick Powder
   Dazzling Diamonds Glitter
   VersaMark
   Santa's Sleigh Framelits Dies
   Extra-Large Oval Punch
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I made the background, Iced Leather. I took a sanding block and roughed up the Pool Party panel. This gave the panel the look of suede.

I then swiped the sueded panel with VersaMark. I tried to create some rough or hard edges along with some soft edges.

I then sprinkled some Heat and Stick Powder. I applied heat with my heat tool and quickly added the glitter. I tapped off the access and set it aside to cool.

I stamped and die cut three trees and a sentiment.

I arranged them all on the card and attached them using dimensionals.

Lastly, I adhered the basic white panel to the inside of the card.

Pine Tree

I let the Designer Series Paper (DSP) do all of the work again. This is a Clean And Simple (CAS) Christmas card. It is easy to duplicate and the DSP can be changed to something you have on hand. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Lovely as a Tree
   More Merry Messages

Paper:
   Lost Lagoon A-2
   All Is Calm DSP 5-1/2 x 3-3/4
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Call Me Clover

Technique:
   CAS

Accessories:
   Frosted Sequins
   Adhesive

First, I stamped my tree on the DSP. I positioned it in the center of the panel, leaving enough room for the sentiment above it. I stamped the tree using Call Me Clover ink.

Next, I stamped my sentiment above the tree, using Archival Basic Black.

I then adhered this panel to the card front, and the Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

Lastly, I added a few sequins to adorn the card. Here is where you can add as many embellishments as you like.

Popping Presents Collage

Do you need a fun way to send your Christmas presents in the mail? Here is a card that proves you are not lying when you tell someone that their presents are in the mail. Here is a peek at the front and inside of the card. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Wishing You Cheer
   More Merry Messages
   Merry & Bright Rub-Ons

Paper:
   Cherry Cobbler A-2
   Merry Moments DSP 1-3/4 x 5-1/2, Scraps
   Whisper White 8 x 5

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black

Technique:
   Pop-Up Card

Accessories:
   Gold Ribbon
   Frosted Sequins
   Scoring Tool
   Fast Fuse
   Adhesive

First, I scored and folded my Whisper White panel at 4".

I then lined the folded edge on the top of my trimmer and cut at:
   1" cut down to 1-1/2
   2" cut down to 1-1/2
   3" cut down to 1-1/4
   4" cut down to 1

Then turn the paper so the fold is on the left and:
   at 1" score between 1 to 2
   at 1-1/4" score between 2 to 3
   at 1-1/2" score between 3 to 4

Fold the score lines and push the flaps inward. These are the presents. Measurements to decorate with patterned paper are:
   Top Present: 1 x 2
   Middle Present 1 x 2-1/2
   Bottom Present 1 x 3

I then adhered this onto the inside of the Cherry Cobbler card base.

I then decorated the front of my card and stamped the inside.

The tutorial for this technique can be found HERE.

Here is a closer look at the front of my card:

Here is a closer look at the inside of my card:

Glittery Christmas

I like the look of White on Kraft with just a hint of red. Don't you? I imagined the white glitter washi tape covering the small hill and the snow on the bare tree branches as a much different scene. Yes, my mind's eye was prettier than reality. I did not think the cut pieces would show up so vividly in real life. I will work on that for the next card. You can definitely tell that this card is handmade, but still quite unique.

Stamps:
   White Christmas
   More Merry Messages

Paper:
   Kraft A-2, 5 x 3-3/4
   Real Red 5-1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Real Red
   Soft Suede
   Whisper White Craft
   White Gel Pen

Technique:
   CAS

Accessories:
   White Glitter Washi Tape
   Adhesive

I used the white gel pen to create the snow on the trees.

Whisper White Craft ink was used for the falling snow.

Tree trunks are stamped using Soft Suede.

The sentiment is stamped using Archival Basic Black.

It is never too early to begin stamping Christmas cards. Especially if your list is a long one.
