First, I adhered the Forever Greenery DSP panel onto a Basic Black matte and then onto the Old Olive card front.

I then stamped my sentiment on the smaller piece of Basic White, using Pretty Peacock ink.

Next, I die cut it, using the Deckled Rectangles Dies.

I then took a larger Deckled Rectangles Die and die cut the Pretty Peacock panel.

Next, I adhered the two Deckled Rectangles together the smaller one on top of the larger one.

I then attached this rectangle to the card front, using dimensionals.

Next, I added a dangling Open Leaf Trinket to the bottom of the sentiment. I used a couple of glue dots to attach it, underneath the sentiment.

Lastly, I added a couple of Butterfly Gems to the card front and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Pressing Thanks

I used a white taffeta ribbon to hide the seam between the panels. Thoughts?

First, I cut the Pressed Petals DSP panel and dry embossed the side that was to remain solid.

I then adhered the two panels side by side onto a Night of Navy matte.

Next, I adhered a white taffeta ribbon over the seam and secured it on the back. I added a glue dot to hold it in place on the front.

I then adhered the panel onto a Crumb Cake panel and attached it all to the Night of Navy card front.

Next, I stamped and die cut the sentiment, using Night of Navy ink and the smallest Deckled Rectangle die. I attached the sentiment to the card front, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added a couple of Holiday Rhinestone jewels and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Proverbs

There are many techniques that can be used to make a card. My favorite is embossing. So, I heat and dry embossed on this card. What do you think?

First, I dry embossed the Lost Lagoon card front, using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder.

I then heat embossed the proverb on the Basic Black panel.

1.    I rubbed down the panel with my embossing buddy.
2.    I stamped the proverb, using VersaMark.
3.    I applied white embossing powder to the panel.
4.    I shook off the excess.
5.    I applied heat with my heat tool.
6.    I set it down to cool for a minute.

Next, I attached the heat embossed panel to the top of my card front, using dimensionals.

I then adhered the ribbon to the bottom of the card, using a strong adhesive. 

Next, I attached a couple of In Good Taste Elements, using glue dots.

Lastly, I added a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Birthday Wave

This is a wonderful technique to use all of those leftover strips of designer series paper. You just want to make sure you have a couple of dark strips to use as accents. What do you think?

   Rose Red A-2

   Basic Black 5-3/8 x 4-1/8

   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (3)

   DSP Strips 3/4 x 5-1/4 (6)

Ink:

   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:

   Bargello Technique

Accessories:

   Deckled Rectangles Dies

   Basic Pearl Jewels

   Adhesive

First, I cut at least 3 different designer series papers into 3/4 x 5-1/4 inch strips. I used two strips of each one, and I made sure that at least one of the patterns was darker or more prominent to use as an accent strip. 

I then adhered the strips to a Basic White panel and then turned the panel and cut it into strips.

Next, I played with them, moving them up or down to create a pattern and then I adhered them onto a Basic White panel. 

I die cut the edges of the panel, using the Deckled Rectangles Dies and adhered it onto a Basic Black matte, and then onto the Rose Red card front.

Next, I stamped a sentiment on the panel and added a few Basic Pearl Jewels.

Lastly, I added a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Sympathy Layers

I added a heat embossed sentiment smack in the middle of this printed Lovely Layer Vellum panel. What do you think?

First, I heat embossed the sentiment in the center of the Lovely Layers Vellum panel.

I then die cut a Basic White panel, using the Deckled Rectangle Dies to create a frame for the card front.

Next, I adhered the vellum panel to the back of the Basic White deckled frame, using glue dots.

I then attached the frame to the Tranquil Tide card front, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added an In-Color Bitty Bow to the card front and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Scenic Trails

Scenic scenes on a stamp can be challenging. I believe you can change it up with colors and embellishments, but in the end, a scene is a scene. Here are three cards created with the same stamp. Thoughts?

Scenic Trail Tre - First, I stamped the entire stamp in one color: Evening Evergreen. The stamp set is DistINKtive, so, the opacity levels are different on the stamp. I liked it, but it seemed a bit plain. 

Scenic Trail - I then decided to grab some markers and color on the stamp. The image was still new for me, so I added only a couple of color and then stamped it. I then added more color on the stamped image. You can easily notice where Cajun Craze and Wild Wheat were added. I also filled in the land around the brush and trees.

Scenic Trail Too - Next, I colored on the stamp, using more colors. I decided to very, very lightly mist once with water before stamping. I then used my aqua painter and tried to add more color and smooth out a few areas. 

Next, I die cut the frame using the Deckled Rectangles Dies.

I stamped a few birds and added a sentiment, ribbon, or both.

Next, I adhered it to an Evening Evergreen panel, and then onto its card front - Copper Clay or Basic White.

Lastly, I added a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Here is one of those large stamps that you can color with any medium you wish. I decided to use my watercolor crayons this time, but I think I may try my watercolor pencils next. What medium would you choose?

First, I stamped my image in the center of a watercolor panel, using Jet Black StazOn ink.

I then colored the image, using my watercolor crayons. Stampin' Up! has discontinued these, but any medium will work. I listed the colors I used above. Browns were used on the wood, greens were used on the greenery, and the blues were used on the water and sky.

I then went over the image with my Aqua Painter to spread the watercolor crayons on the image. I kept a paper towel handy to dab at areas that needed it.

Next, I used the second to the largest deckled rectangle die to center my image and to give the edges an interesting look.

I then adhered the panel onto a Basic Black panel and then onto the Pacific Point card front. You will want to use whatever color matches one of your colors on your image for the card base.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card for a personal message. I left off a sentiment to keep the card as an all occasion card.

Happy Florals

First, I stamped and die cut the Garden Green leaves using the Translucent Floral Dies.

I then stamped and punched out the sentiment, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and the Happy Labels Pick a Punch.

Next, I grabbed the Gray Granite ink and stamped the leaves on the Gray Granite card front.

I then attached the Garden Green die cut leaves, using dimensionals and added the sentiment with a glue dot on the left and a dimensional on the right. 

Lastly, I added a few Classic Matte Dots and adhered the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Peek-a-Boo Florals

I like to mix the old with the new. After all, I only buy what I truly like, so I have to use it until it is all gone. What do you think?

First, I randomly stamped poppies on the card front, using Poppy Parade ink.

I then cut my Deckled Rectangular Frame in the center of a Basic White panel. I used the next to the largest die cut. I kept the left-over frame to use on another card.

Next, I stamped the poppies, using Poppy Parade ink. 

I stamped the stems and leaves, using Garden Green ink.

I used Fresh Fig to stamp the sentiment.

Next, I adhered the panel onto the card front.

Lastly, I added a Bitty Bow, a few pearls, and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.
