A Hopeful Star

A card does not need much to be effective. Here is a card that says it all with one word and two images. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Be the Star

Paper:
   Yo Yo Yellow A-2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink:
   Yo Yo Yellow
   Summer Sun

Technique:
   CAS

Accessories:
   Adhesive

First, I stamped a star on the top left of a Basic White panel, using Yo Yo Yellow ink.

I then stamped another star, using Summer Sun, on the right side of the Basic White panel.

Next, I stamped the sentiment in the center, using Summer Sun.

I then adhered the panel onto the Yo Yo Yellow card front.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

You can add sparkle with a few rhinestones, but I chose to keep it clean and simple, making it a masculine card.

Bokeh Rock Star

Everyone needs a good pat on the back sometimes. So, send a card to that person who needs to be reminded. What do you think of this one?

Stamps:
   Be the Star

Paper:
   Basic White A-2, 5 x 3-3/4, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
   Basic Black 5-1/4 x 4, Scraps

Ink:
   Pool Party
   Bermuda Bay
   Island Indigo
   Whisper White Craft

Technique:
   Bokeh
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Sponge
   Stars Framelits Dies
   White Embossing Powder
   Embossing Buddy
   Dimensionals
   Mask using 1-3/4, 1-1/4, 1" Circle Punch
   Sponge Dauber

First, I sponged the Basic White panel using Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, and Island Indigo.

I then created a mask and laid it on top of my sponged panel. Using a sponge dauber, I added Whisper White craft ink in each of the circles. You want to make sure your mask does not move around.

Next, I took Basic Black scraps and die cut stars. I then patted them down with an embossing buddy.

Using Whisper White craft ink, I carefully stamped them, added white embossing powder and heat set them. Once, they cooled I attached them to the card front with dimensionals.

Lastly, I adhered the panel to a Basic Black matte and then onto the Basic White card front. I added a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

I am so excited that you decided to pay me a visit. Please Contact Me if I can be of service.

Hello Wolves

What do you do with all of your scraps or extra pieces from other projects? I had a few pieces left on my desk and decided to place them on a card. So...

Stamps:
   Nature Silhouettes
   Four You
   Be the Star

Paper:
   Whisper White A-2, 5-1/4 x 4, 2" Sq. (2)
   Left-Over Images
   Basic Black 2-1/4" Sq.

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Elegant Eggplant

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Punching

Accessories:
   1-3/4" Circle Punch
   2" Circle Punch
   Stars Framelits Dies
   Adhesive

I had two wolf circles left over and a large star. I punched out two circles in Basic Black as a matte for each of the wolves.

I adhered the pieces onto the card front and added the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

I stamped my sentiment on the bottom-right corner.

I did include the supplies I used to create these pieces so anyone can duplicate it.

Brilliant Rock Star

I like the glow around this guitar player. It is electrifying! What do you think?

Stamps:
   Be the Star
   Extreme Guitar

Paper:
   Basic Black A-2
   Irresistibly Yours DSP 5-1/4 x 4
   Perfect Plum Scraps
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento
   Elegant Eggplant
   Peekaboo Peach

Technique:
   Watercolor
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Stars Framelits Dies
   Aqua Painter
   Adhesive

I stamped my image first on my Irresistibly Yours DSP. This paper has an emboss resist surface. If you do not have this you can make your own!

I then added the watercolor wash on the background, avoiding the guitar player. This is why there is a glow around him. It did not take the panel long to dry.

Next, I stamped the groups of dots and stars randomly on the background. I then grabbed a paper towel and wiped the panel down. This allows the embossing to shine through.

I grabbed a few scraps of Perfect Plum and stamped my stars and sentiment. I then die cut them and adhered them onto my panel. I used regular adhesive, but you may want to think about using dimensionals.

Lastly, I adhered my layers together and added the Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

Thank you so very much for being here. I appreciate you taking the time to glance at my work. Please Contact Me if I can be of service.

Stars are all meant to shine, sparkle, and shimmer. Whether the star is standing in front of you or sits way up in the night sky, they all demand attention, and usually, you cannot help but give it. How do you like this beauty?
