Little Miracle

Is it a boy? Is it a girl? I remember the days when there was no "Baby Reveal" party. Of course we had our ways to pretend to predict using a piece of thread and a ring. What fun we had in EXPECTING our healthy child. Today, it is about the knowing. Knowing that it will be a girl; knowing that it will be a boy; knowing that it will be healthy. Guess what...the UNexpected is always there for us. We only have the impression of being in control. As they say, "If you want to make God laugh, make plans." Here is a baby card with a bit of blue, pink, and yellow for the unexpected.

Stamps: Wonderful Moments
Paper: So Saffron A-2
Ink: Archival Basic Black
Techniques: CAS
Accessories: Washi Tape

I think this card's appeal lies in its simplicity. I liked the look of leaving the image colorless. What do you think?

This washi tape is no longer current, but any pinkish, bluish, and yellowish color will do just fine. I like using washi tape because it is so very easy to apply, but you can also use strips of designer series paper with those colors. Or you may choose to create your own border with some other stamp images: baby bottles, rattles, pacifiers, etc...

June Wedding

Whenever you need to make a wedding card in a hurry, this one is clean and simple. It uses the formal black and white colors and is quite elegant in its simplicity. All you need is the Wonderful Moments stamp set, ink and paper.

Stamps: Wonderful Moments
Paper: Basic Black A-2, Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4 (2 pieces)
Ink: Archival Basic Black
Technique: Clean and Simple
Accessories: Adhesive

You do need two pieces of Whisper White. One piece is used to line the inside of the card, and the other is for the front of your card. Also, it is best to use a Stamparatus or MISTI. This way you are able to ink and stamp multiple times to get the image and sentiment as dark as you like.

This is a photopolymer stamp set, so you are able to see exactly where to place your stamp. The Stamparatus or MISTI will assure you exact placement. You also want to make sure to not touch your image for a minute or so to allow the ink to completely dry.

Flower Stencil

Stencils are so much fun. A card is quickly made using a sponge, ink, stencil and paper. Simply decide on your stencil. Secure it over your paper with some temporary glue or washi tape. Sponge on your color or colors. Viola!

Stamps: Wonderful Moments
Paper: Crushed Curry A-2, Tranquil Tide 5 1/4 x 4, Whisper White 5 x 3 3/4
Ink: Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Tranquil Tide
Technique: Sponging using a stencil
Accessories: Stencil, Sponge, Rhinestones, Adhesive

When you work with a stencil you have several options. For example, you could choose to trace the image and color it in with markers. Maybe you will decide to use a spritzer and mist on several colors. And there are more possibilities. Just remember to secure you stencil to keep the image in tact.

Thank you for dropping by and taking a look. I appreciate your time and feedback.
