Rich Ending

Here is a card for those who tend to lose hope. There are times when life can get so hard that we need to be reminded that we are not alone, and it will be okay. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Letter Board Messages

Paper:
   Rich Razzleberry A-2
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink:
   Shaded Spruce
   Basic Black

Acrylic Paint:
   Blue
   Green
   Yellow

Technique:
   Gel Plate
   Brayer

Accessories:
   Brayer
   Gel Plate
   Rich Razzleberry Ribbon
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I applied acrylic paints to my gel plate and spread them using my brayer. I then pressed a Whisper White panel on the gel plate and grabbed a print. This particular print was made a while back. I was going to throw it away, but decided to hang on to it and see if I could find a use for it. Today was the day I found a use for a discarded background panel.

I then stamped my frame using Shaded Spruce ink.

I stamped the sentiment in the center of the frame using Basic Black ink.

Next, I wrapped a bit of Rich Razzleberry grosgrain ribbon around the panel. I added a knot in the center and topped it off with a basic rhinestone jewel.

Lastly, I adhered the other Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

Endings 6x6#17

Not to spoil the ending, but everything is going to be okay. My other favorite is, this too shall pass. No matter how difficult life may seem we must never lose hope. There is light at the end of the tunnel...and the list continues. What is your favorite?

Stamps:
   Letter Board Messages

Paper:
   Sweet Sugarplum A-2
   Playful Palette DSP 5-1/4 x 4
   Very Vanilla 2-7/8" Sq.
   Basic Black 3" Sq.
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Peekaboo Peach
   Emerald Envy
   Sweet Sugarplum

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Layering Squares Framelits Dies
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

This card used Layout #8:

This is card 17 out of 30 using the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper. Note that this layout yields paper for two more cards.

First, I adhered the Playful Palette DSP panel onto the card front.

I then stamped my frame and sentiment onto the Very Vanilla Square. It is best to stamp on a larger piece of Very Vanilla and then die cut it to size. This way you are sure to center it.

I then adhered it to a Basic Black square. This was attached to the card using dimensionals.

The Whisper White panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

You can see all 30 cards at Merla's No Left-Over DSP Layouts.

Notice Cucumber

One color, one frame, one bow, one flower, and one sentiment to make one card. Keep it clean and simple. Cucumber Crush is the In-Color! Do you like it?

Stamps:
   Letter Board Messages

Paper:
   Cucumber Crush A-2
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Cucumber Crush

Technique:
   Monochromatic

Accessories:
Cucumber Crush Dotted Lace Trim 24"
   2015 - 2017 In-Color Blossom Accents
   Glue Dots
   Stamparatus/MISTI/Stamp-a-ma-jig
   Adhesive

Sadly, In-Colors are around for only two years. This Cucumber Crush In-Color was discontinued back in 2017. Still, it remains to be one of my striking favorites. So, as long as my supplies last, I will continue to use it.

I began by gathering my embellishments, ribbon, DSP, and anything else that is of that one color.

Upon examination of these items, I decided on a theme for the card. Sometimes my theme is chosen by need. With this bright green color, I chose to be positive and make it the envy of all the other cards.

I chose my positive sentiment and framed it. I tied a lacy trim on the top and added a floral accent.

Lastly, I adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

Dinoroar Strip for Five Face Masks

Grab your face mask, gloves, and hand sanitizer. Now, you are ready to go out into the world. Nothing is the same anymore. Our priorities have changed as well as many of our habits. This is a time that will be remembered for quite some time. So, now is the time to record a few thoughts.

I decided to make a card for each of the grandkids and their parents. They can jot down or draw anything they wish as a future reference of this time. Here are the five cards using only one strip of DSP.

Old Olive Mask

Pool Party Mask

Mango Melody Dino Mask

Pineapple Punch Mask

Mango Melody Mask

Stamps:
   Letter Board Messages

Paper:
   Whisper White 5 x 3-3/4, Scraps
   Dinoroar DSP 2-3/4 x 2-1/8
Card Bases are all A-2 size

Ink:
   Pretty Peacock
   Same as Card Base

Technique:
   Face Mask
   Stamp-Off
   Scoring

Accessories:
   1/8" Marina Mist Ribbon: 2-3/4" (2)
   Tear & Tape
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

I followed a You Tube video for the masks. It can be found HERE

The mask is made of any designer paper you may have on hand.

This is a wonderful way to spend some time with a child and talk about what is happening and allow them to get some feelings down. If they don't write, they can draw a picture, or take a picture and include it in the card. This can then be placed in a scrapbook. Have fun!

Masked Smile

This little face mask will forever represent a turning point in every person's life. Shelter in Place, Shelter at Home has new meaning. Each person has had to face a new "normal" way of life. We all yearn for the "familiar and easy" way of doing things. Still, no matter how horrific this time may seem, it is happening. Make the best of it, and smile underneath the "mask."
