Technique:

First, I stamped the Hardwood background on the Old Olive panel, using Always Artichoke ink and adhered it onto the Old Olive card front.

I then stamped the flower silhouette from the Just Believe stamp set onto the Basic White small panel, using Old Olive ink.

Next, I adhered it onto the Apricot Appeal matte and then onto the card front, leaving space at the bottom for the sentiment. 

I then stamped the sentiment on the scrap of Basic White, using Tuxedo Black Memento. You can change the sentiment to suit your current need.

Next, I punched out the sentiment, using the Word Window punch and adhered it onto the card front.

I then punched out the flowers: 

   Large one-Apricot Appeal-Boho Blossoms Punch

   Small one-Daffodil Delight-Petite Petals punch.

Next, I attached them onto the card front, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added a pearl to the center of each punched flower and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Feel Better Pooch

I created two masks to make this cute card front. What do you think?

   Double Masking

Accessories:

   Two-Way Glue

   Masks

   Adhesive

First, I created a mask for the puppy, and then one for the hardwood wall in the background. You can find a tutorial for this technique at SCS: Double Masking.

To create a mask for the Hardwood wall, I tore a hole in the center of a Whisper White panel and attached the panel to the Whisper White card panel. This was mask #1. I used paper clips to keep the two panels together.

I then stamped the puppy in the center of this opening, using Archival Basic Black.

Next, I added the mask of the puppy over him (mask #2), and then stamped the hardwood wall, using Delightful Dijon. 

I then removed the masks, and stamped the sentiment on the top and the bottom of the card, using Archival Basic Black ink.

Lastly, I adhered the panel to the Delightful Dijon card front and added the other Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

Aloha

I keep grid paper on my table for two basic reasons: protect my surface and practice. I was challenged to use that scratch paper as part of my card. Here is a section that I thought worked for this purpose. What do you think?

I had never even thought of using my scratch (grid) paper as a card front. Still, when I looked at it, I chose this section. 

I added the greeting, "aloha," one more time. 

I then adhered the panel to a Whisper White card front and added a Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

Passion Boots

Here is a pair of boots that have walked through a bit of life. We have all heard the adage: Don't judge a book by its cover. Yet, my curiosity questions - What can you tell by a person's shoes? Thoughts?

First, I stamped the boots on a piece of  Whisper White. I colored them and then sponged the edges.

Next, I stamped my sentiment and punched it out using the Washi Label Punch. I also sponged the edges on this.

I then stamped the card front using the Hardwood background stamp.

I adhered the boots image onto a black matte. I decided to angle it a bit to give it a bit of movement.

I added the image and sentiment to the card front using dimensionals. Both were tilted a bit on the card front.

Lastly, I adhered the Whisper White panel (5-1/4 x 4) to the inside of the card.

Welcome, Baby

 Remember when we had to guess the gender of the baby? There were no "reveal" parties. So, we bought items for the baby in neutral tones like yellow and green. Here is a waterfall card using some cute baby images.

Dad's Boots

 No one can ever fill your dad's boots. Here is a Father's Day card to remind him just how special he is to you. I used a masking technique to create the background wall.

To create my mask, I just tore the center out of a panel. I placed the torn panel on top of the Whisper White card base. I then inked up my Hardwood stamp with crumb cake and stamped it on the mask. When I removed the mask, the only part of the wall showing was what was stamped on the torn part.

I then stamped the boots and the sentiment using Early Espresso. I colored in the boots with Soft Suede.

Mother's Day

I made a floral wreath to celebrate Mother's Day. Springtime flowers are a perfect way to celebrate in May. What do you think?

I started with the wreath. I stamped, die cut, and colored it with my markers. I then adhered it to the center of the white paper doily.

I then stamped and die cut the Real Red bow. I glued it on to the bottom center of the wreath. 

I stamped the sentiment in the center of the paper doily. (Sentiment can be changed to whatever you need: birthday, get well, congrats, etc.)

Next, I stamped the Hardwood background: Mint Macaron ink on Mint Macaron cardstock. This panel was adhered to the Real Red card base.

The paper doily was then added to the center of the Mint Macaron wall.

Best Dad Ever

Father's Day is only two days away. Do NOT forget to let Dad know how much you love him. Here is a classic card for the Best Dad Ever.

I like the image of the classic car next to the tree with a swing. I still remember the times we went out to the park as a family and had a picnic. It would turn into an all day affair with the kids chasing "lightening bugs" to put into jars. The adults were running races and having a wonderful time.

No matter what decade we are living, the constant is to let Dad know how special he is to you.
