Lovely Indigo Flowers

This is a card from the past. Still, I wanted to post it because I like the layout of this card. What do you think?

Stamps:
   You're Lovely

Paper:
   Island Indigo A-2 (Top Fold)
   Smoky Slate Scraps
   Watercolor Wonder DSP 4 x 2-3/8
   Gumball Green 2-1/2 x 2-3/8
   Basic White 2-1/2 x 2-1/8, 5 1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento
   Island Indigo
   Gumball Green

Technique:
   Dry Embossing
   Die Cutting
   Ink Pads/Blender Pens

Accessories:
   Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder
   Deco Labels Framelits
   Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack
   Gumball Green Ribbon 13"
   Basic Pearl Jewels
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I stamped, colored, and die cut the sentiment, using the Deco Labels Framelits and ink pads with a blender pen.

I then dry embossed the Island Indigo card front, using the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder.

Next, I adhered the Watercolor Wonder DSP panel onto the top of the Island Indigo card front.

I then punched some Smoky Slate flowers and added them to the DSP.

Next, I added ribbon to the card front and tied it into a knot.

I then added the sentiment, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added a few pearls and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Isn't She Lovely

I found some Valentine paper with images that reminded me of my mother and her generation. So, I decided to cut them out and use them as my focal point on a card. I added rhinestones to the cheerleader's hair. My mother used to go to the salon every week to get her hair set and styled.

Stamps:
   You're Lovely

Paper:
   Real Red A-2
Hello Honey 2-3/8" Scallop Punch (2)
Be My Valentine DSP 2" Circle Punch (2)
   Smitten Love DSP 3 x 4-1/4

Ink:
   Basic Black

Technique:
   Punching

Accessories:
   2-3/8" Scallop Punch
   2" Circle Punch
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   So Saffron Brads
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

The rhinestones remind me of the curlers in my mother's hair. I added brads to the guy so that he wouldn't feel left out and to represent curls in his hair.

I am not sure who made the DSP, or how it wound up in my possession, but I use whatever I have in my stash.
