Celebrate You

What do you do with your left-over paper pumpkin bits? What if you do not want to make the project as directed? There are many options available to you. There are alternate ideas online. Some stampers share their ideas through YouTube videos. Or you can create something on your own. Here is something I made from the July, 2016 kit:

Stamps:
None - Die cut coordinates with Amazing You Stamp Set

Paper:
   Rich Razzleberry A-2
   Basic Black 5-1/4 x 4
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
   Copper Foil 2 x 5
Copper Polka Dot Triangles (Paper Pumpkin, July, 2016)

Ink:
   None

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Celebrate You Thinlits Dies
   Adhesive

The kit originally made some octagonal shaped boxes for you to fill with something to gift to someone. I did not have any use for that project. So, I decided to cut my boxes apart and use up the pieces. I cut the triangles on the score lines and adhered them to a basic black panel. This was then adhered to my card base.

I die cut my sentiment in copper foil to match the polka dots.

I made only a couple of these cards and kept the other boxes intact, just in case I need a box.

Balloons in a Vase

Balloons are a sure sign of a celebration. You see them at birthday parties, dances, weddings, graduations, baby showers, bridal showers, and anything else that comes to mind. Here is a balloon celebration.

Stamps:
   Balloon Celebration
   Vivd Vases

Paper:
   Bermuda Bay A-2, Scraps
   Birthday Bash 5-1/4 x 4
   Whisper White 5 x 3-3/4, 5-1/4 x 4
   Calypso Coral Scraps
   Crushed Curry Scraps

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Bermuda Bay
   Calypso Coral
   Crushed Curry

Technique:
   Sponging
   Punching

Accessories:
   Balloon Bouquet Punch
   Sequins
   Tea Lace Paper Doily
   Sponge
   Dimensionals
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I stamped and punched out my balloons.

I then stamped and fussy cut the vase.

I cut the doily in half, stamped it, and attached it with adhesive to the bottom of the designer series panel.

I sponged the Whisper White small panel with Crushed Curry. I adhered this using adhesive.

I then added the balloons and vase using dimensionals.

I then attached the designer series panel to the card base and added various sequins around the card. I also stamped the star clusters using Crushed Curry.

Lastly, I added the other Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

Color Inside the Lines

Do you like bright, bold colors? Pastels? Black and White Line Drawings? With these coloring pages, you get to decide what you want. I decided to use bright, bold colors for my coloring page. I made six cards from this 12 x 12 coloring page. The three left-over strips will be used later to make another card. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Heal Your Heart

Paper:
   Gorgeous Grape A-2 (2)
   Balmy Blue A-2 (2)
   Calypso Coral A-2 (2)
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (6), Scraps (Tags)
Color Inside the Lines Coloring Page 5-1/4 x 4 (6)

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento
   Various Markers

Technique:
   One Sheet Wonder
   Coloring

Accessories:
1/4" Shimmery Calypso Coral Ribbon (16")
   Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon
   1/4" Balmy Blue Organdy Ribbon
   Left-Over Paper Pumpkin Tags
   Pastel Pearls
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

The sentiment can be changed to suit your needs. I made Thank You cards because I need several. I also used left-over tags from a Paper Pumpkin kit. If you don't have any, then make your own with a punch, die cut, or paper snips and Whisper White Scraps.

I also used SU Markers to color in all of my flowers. You can use any medium that you are comfortable with or that you have on hand. I will probably use my chalks or watercolors on my next page. A blending brush will probably also look great on these images. The important thing is to have fun.

Corners

These corner stamps decorate a card front all by themselves. You can choose to use only one stamp on one corner or stamp it on each corner. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Corner Bouquet
   Butterfly Gala

Paper:
   Merry Merlot A-2
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink:
   Shaded Spruce
   Merry Merlot

Technique:
   CAS

Accessories:
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   Adhesive

Both cards use the same supplies listed here. The sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala stamp set. The flower bouquets are from the Corner Bouquet.

I'm thinking that my next card with this stamp set might include a bit of washi tape on the front of the card. What do you think?

Vellum Thank You

I made my own background by using the rectangular solid image from the stamp set. I stamped each color twice without re-inking. I was not overjoyed with the result, but the more I stare, the more I like it. It is different and somewhat artsy. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Hydrangea Haven

Paper:
   Highland Heather A-2
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)
   Vellum Scrap

Ink:
   Balmy Blue
   Highland Heather
   Rococo Rose
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Markers:
   Crumb Cake
   Old Olive
   Highland Heather

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Dry Embossing
   Stamping-Off

Accessories:
   Hydrangea Dies
   Gorgeous Grape 3/8" Sheer Ribbon
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   Adhesive

First, I stamped my background as I stated above.

I then stamped the Hydrangea using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. It did not make a very dark impression, or my background colors were still too dark.

So, I grabbed the Hydrangea dies and ran a scrap of vellum through the flower part of the hydrangea. It die cut the flower, and half-cut/embossed the petals. I colored them in using my Highland Heather marker. I then adhered the vellum onto the hydrangea using liquid glue.

I then used my Crumb Cake and Old Olive markers to color in the stem and outline the leaves.

I added a bit of sheer ribbon. I tied a knot and taped the ends on the back of the panel. I then adhered the panel to the card base.

I stamped my sentiment and added a few rhinestones. The other Whisper White panel was for the inside of the card.

9 Delightful Berries

Here is one way to use up every bit of that beautiful 12 x 12 designer series paper (DSP). This DSP is a Sale-a-Bration item that must be earned. Still, this layout can be applied to any of your 12 x 12 DSP sheets. I got 9 cards out of one 12 x 12 sheet! What do you think?

Only the card bases changed, and I used a wooden element on a couple of cards. Otherwise, the cards are the same. You can change the sentiment and you can also choose to flip the DSP to the reverse side and get a different look. Here is what I used.

Stamps:
   Sweet Strawberry

Paper:
   Rich Razzleberry A-2 (2)
   Garden Green A-2 (2)
   Calypso Coral A-2 (2)
   Night of Navy A-2 (2)
   Whisper White A-2, 5-1/4 x 4 (8 - Inside), Scraps (Blooms)
   Berry Delightful DSP

Ink:
   Night of Navy
   Poppy Parade

Technique:
   One Sheet Wonder
   Punching

Accessories:
   Small Bloom Punch
   Expressions Natural Elements
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   Glue Dots
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I cut my 12 x 12 DSP sheet into 4 inch squares. I got 9 of them.

I then took each square and cut it diagonally. I did leave about 3/4 of an inch on the top and about 1-1/2" on the bottom. I did not really measure, but where you cut diagonally is where your sentiment will be placed.

I then adhered these pieces to the top and bottom of the card.

I then stamped and punched out 18 blooms. I stamped them using Poppy Parade and punched them out with the small bloom punch.

I stamped my sentiment using Night of Navy in the center of each card. I used a wooden Thanks on two of the cards. These elements were adhered using glue dots.

You can always stamp your sentiment on a tag and attach it to the card. I then added a bloom on each side of the sentiment. These were attached using dimensionals. I added a rhinestone in the middle of each bloom.

Lastly, I adhered a Whisper White panel to the inside of each card, minus the Whisper White card.

Here is a closer look at each card:

Rich Razzleberry Berries

Garden Green Berries

Calypso Coral Berries

Night of Navy Berries

Whisper White Berries

Thank You Ink

I earned both of these stamp sets! You can too. There are three ways to accomplish this: Spend, Host, or Join! The only catch to this (I know there is always something) is that the offer ends February 28, 2021. Contact Me for more details. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   A Touch of Ink
   Heal Your Heart

Paper:
   Cinnamon Cider A-2
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink & Markers:
   Magenta Madness
   Just Jade
   Bumblebee
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:
   Watercolor on Stamp
   2-Step Stamping

Accessories:
   Adhesive
   Daffodil Delight Sequins
   Water Mister (Spritzer)

First, I stamped my images using Tuxedo Black Memento. I stamped using the outline stamps. (Step 1)

I then decided to add color to the stamps. Using the solid stamps (Step 2), I applied color using my markers. Magenta Madness on the flowers and Just Jade on the leaves.

Once colored, I misted the stamp twice with water and then stamped the image. I left it on for a few seconds to let the ink seep onto the paper.

I outlined the hummingbird with my Bumblebee marker. Next time, I may just leave the hummingbird alone. I think it will look great with no color. There is a solid step 2 stamp for it if you want to use it.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento. I then adhered the panel to the Cinnamon Cider card base. The other Whisper White panel is for the inside of the card.

Granny Art

Create more backgrounds by adding ink to your embossing folder. I like the dramatic look and textured feel on this background. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Art Gallery

Paper:
   Coastal Cabana A-2
   Whisper White 2-1/2 x 3 (2), 5-1/4 x 4 (2), Scrap

Ink:
   Coastal Cabana
   Gorgeous Grape
   Granny Apple Green

Technique:
   Dry Embossing
   Die Cutting
   Stamp-Off
   2-Step Stamping

Accessories:
   Painted Texture 3-D Embossing Folder
   Floral Gallery Dies
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I applied my Granny Apple Green to the smooth side of the embossing folder. I dabbed a bit of Coastal Cabana on a bit of it, but I didn't want to mix my colors on my ink pads.

I carefully placed my Whisper White panel in the center of the embossing folder and ran it through my machine, making sure the white panel did not move. I did rinse and dry my embossing folder right after using it.

Next, I stamped my flowers using Gorgeous Grape. I stamped-off once before adding the first step. The second step (accents) I added the ink at full strength. I die cut these using the Floral Gallery Dies. I attached the flowers to the top of the embossed panel using dimensionals.

I then used Coastal Cabana to stamp my sentiment on a scrap of Whisper White. I die cut it and attached it with dimensionals.

I added rhinestones to give the card a bit of glimmer.

Lastly, I adhered the embossed panel to the Coastal Cabana card base. The other Whisper White panel was added to the inside of the card.

Cajun Blossom

I like the Cajun Craze and Merry Merlot color combination. Merry Merlot is part of the Stampin' Up! Neutrals family, so it should coordinate or complement all of the other colors. I think it does work here. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Blossoms in Bloom

Paper:
   Cajun Craze A-2
   Merry Merlot 5-3/8 x 4-1/8, 5-1/4 x 4
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (2), Scrap
   Basic Black 5-1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Cajun Craze
   Call Me Clover

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Many Layered Blossoms Dies
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   Fine Tip Glue Pen
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I stamped the blossoms on a Whisper White panel using Cajun Craze. I did my best to center it.

I then took a panel of Merry Merlot and die cut the blossoms that have the shading of the petals.

Next, I die cut the outline of the blossoms on a Basic Black panel. I adhered this onto the Merry Merlot die cut using the Fine Tip Glue Pen. Next time, I will cut it on an adhesive sheet to make it easier to adhere.

I then took the Merry Merlot accents and Basic Black outline and aligned it on the Cajun Craze blossoms. They lined up fairly well. A flower and leaf are a bit off the edge, but I think it still works. I added dimensionals to attach it onto the Cajun Craze blossoms. It did move a bit once I set it down, but I think it works anyway.

I then took a left-over tag from a paper pumpkin kit and stamped my sentiment. This was attached using dimensionals.

Lastly, I put the card together. This Whisper White panel was adhered onto a Merry Merlot panel and then onto the Cajun Craze card base. The other Whisper White panel is for the inside of the card. The scrap of Whisper White is for the sentiment, in case you do not have any left-over tags.
