Special Congratulations

I like the vintage look and feel of this card. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Special Reason

Paper:
   River Rock A-2
   Basic Black 3-7/8 x 3-3/8, 2-5/8" Circle, 1-3/4" Oval
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside), 2-1/2" Circle, 1-7/8" Oval
   Springtime Vintage DSP 1-1/8 x 3-1/8 (3), 3-3/4 x 3-3/16
   Real Red 2-3/4" Sq.

Ink:
   Rose Red
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Dry Embossing
   Punching

Accessories:
   Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder
   Layering Circles Framelits
   Layering Ovals Framelits
   Double Oval Punch
   2-1/2" Circle Punch
   Stylish Stems Framelits
Red Rhinestone Circle Brads (Large & Small)
   Fine Tip Glue Pen
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

I know the list is long and it does make everything seem complicated, but I assure you it is NOT. I have used quite a bit of products, but that is because they are part of my supplies. You, on the other hand, can keep it simple. For example, you can omit all of the paper layers and embellishments. Adhere 3 pieces of DSP directly on the card front. Add the floral and sentiment on the DSP. Keep the embellishments down to a rhinestone or dot of some sort. Now, on to what I did...

First, I dry embossed the card front, using the Eyelet 3D embossing folder.

Next, I adhered the three strips of DSP onto the 3-3/4 x 3-3/16 DSP piece.

I then matted this with a Basic Black matte. This panel was then adhered directly onto the card front by placing it at an angle.

I then stamped the floral image, using Rose Red ink, and punched it out with the 2-1/2" Circle punch.

Next, I die cut the matching floral framelit in Real Red and adhered it onto the floral image, using the Fine Tip Glue Pen.

I adhered it onto a Basic Black matte and then added a Red Circle Brad to the center. This was then adhered on top of the DSP panel as shown above.

Next, I stamped the sentiment, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and punched it out, using the Double Oval Punch. I added this onto a Basic Black matte. I added a small red circle brad to each end and attached it to the card front, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Note: the Basic Black Circle and Oval mattes were die cut using the Layering Circle & Oval Framelits. If you do not have these, omit them, or fussy cut them.

   Wildly Flowering DSP 5-1/4 x 4 (cut @ 2-1/2 & flip the 1-1/2" side)

Rococo Pearls

This layout can be used for any occasion. Just find two coordinating designer series papers and you are good to go. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Go To Greetings

Paper:
   Shaded Spruce A-2
   Perennial Lavender DSP 5-1/4 x 4, 2 x 5
   Rococo Rose 5-3/8 x 4-1/8, 2-1/8 x 5-1/8, 2-1/2 x 1-1/2
   Basic White 1 x 2, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Shaded Spruce

Technique:
   Punching

Accessories:
   Double Oval Punch
   Pastel Pearls
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I adhered the DSP panels to the Rococo Rose mattes.

I then adhered the larger panel to the Shaded Spruce card front.

Next, I adhered the rectangular or smaller panel to the right side of the card front. Note its placement: the tops of the Rococo Rose mattes are even with each other, but slightly to the left of the right edge of the card, leaving a bit of the DSP card front showing on the right and the bottom.

I then stamped and punched the sentiment, and adhered it to the card front.

Lastly, I added a pearl and adhered the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

I decided to make a few cards with a few Spanish sentiments that I had on hand. What do you think of these:

More Leaves

These cards show the difference between placing ink on the front or the back flap of an embossing folder. Which do you like best? Do you like the color that shows on the leaves or behind the leaves? Read on to find out which flap should be colored.

Stamps:
   Teeny Tiny Wishes

Paper:
   Dusty Durango A-2, Scraps
   More Mustard A-2, Scraps
   Basic Black 5-3/8 x 4-1/8 (2)
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (4)

Ink:
   Dusty Durango
   More Mustard
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:
   Dry Embossing with Ink
   Punching

Accessories:
   Double Oval Punch
   Leaf Punch
   Fern 3D Embossing Folder
   Open Leaf Trinkets
   In Good Taste Elements
   Basic Pearl Jewels
   Glue Dots
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

Every time I decide to play with this technique, I forget which flap of the embossing folder to ink. So, I decided to make a card showing the effect of both sides.

I consider the front flap to be the one facing me, or the top one, when I hold the embossing folder closed with the Stampin' Up! logo in the front where I can read it.

First, I inked up the front or top flap with More Mustard. I carefully placed the Basic White panel inside and ran it through the embossing machine. The ink colored the background, with the fern leaves staying white, as shown in the picture above. More Mustard is the card on the right.

Then I washed and dried the folder.

Next, I inked up the back or bottom flap with Dusty Durango. I carefully placed the Basic White panel inside and ran it through the embossing machine. The ink colored the fern leaves and left the background white, as shown in the picture above. Dusty Durango is the card on the left.

Personally, I like the ink on the background.

I then matted each of these panels with a Basic Black matte and adhered them to their matching card fronts.

Next, I took scraps of Dusty Durango and More Mustard. I punched out ovals, using the Double Oval Punch.

I then stamped a sentiment in each of the small ovals and adhered them to a scalloped oval, as shown above. I added More Mustard to a Dusty Durango and a Dusty Durango to a More Mustard. I attached them to the card front, using dimensionals.

Next, I punched out a leaf in each color, using the Leaf Punch, and adhered them as shown above.

I then added a wooden leaf and an open leaf trinket to each card with some glue dots.

Lastly, I added a few Basic Pearl Jewels and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of each card.

Promenade

This picture-perfect floral DSP is excellent as a background for any occasion. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Go To Greetings

Paper:
   Blushing Bride A-2, Scrap
   Petal Promenade DSP 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
   Mossy Meadow Scrap

Accessories:
   Double Oval Punch
   2017-2019 In-Color Bitty Bows
   Elegant Faceted Gems
   White Glitter Ribbon (6")
   Stampin' Seal
   Adhesive

First, I adhered the White Glitter Ribbon to the panel of DSP. I used Stampin' Seal to make sure it did not slip. I adhered the panel onto the Blushing Bride card front.

I then stamped my sentiment onto a scrap of Blushing Bride, using Fresh Fig ink. I then used the Double Oval Punch on it.

Next, I grabbed a scrap of Mossy Meadow, and punched the scalloped oval, using the Double Oval Punch.

I adhered the small oval onto the larger oval and attached it to the card front, using adhesive. You can easily prop it up on dimensionals if you wish.

Lastly, I added a couple of gems and adhered the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Thank You Espresso

Cards come together quickly when Stampin' Up! includes ready-to-use card fronts in the designer series paper pack. I did my best to not cover any of this beautifully designed paper. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Go To Greetings

Paper:
   Wild Wheat A-2, Scrap
   Early Espresso 5-3/8 x 4-1/8, Scrap
   Fresh as a Daisy DSP 4-1/4 x 4
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Early Espresso

Technique:
   Punching
   CAS

Accessories:
   Double Oval Punch
Early Espresso Seam Binding Ribbon (20")
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I stamped and punched out the sentiment, using the Double Oval Punch and scraps of Wild Wheat and Early Espresso. I adhered the two ovals together.

I then adhered a matte of Early Espresso to the panel of DSP.

I wrapped the 20" of ribbon around this panel and tied it off in a bow. I moved the bow slightly off center to the left.

Next, I adhered the panel onto the Wild Wheat card base.

I attached the sentiment, using dimensionals, to the bottom right corner of the card-front.

Lastly, I added a few rhinestones and adhered the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.
