Special Magnolias

Add a tiny bit of sparkle to these magnolias, and you are sure to put a smile on someone's face. What do you think?

Special Magnolias

Stamps:
   Good Morning Magnolias
   Special Moments

Paper:
   Mossy Meadow A-2 (Top Fold)
   Basic Black 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Magnolia Lane DSP 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic White 2" Sq. (2), 1-1/2 x 4, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Markers:
   Early Espresso
   Mossy Meadow
   Petal Pink

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Magnolia Memory Dies
   Frosted Flower
   Elegant Faceted Gems
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I stamped, colored and die cut a couple of magnolias on the squares of Basic White. I used the markers and the Magnolia Memory Dies.

I then adhered the Magnolia Lane DSP panel onto a Basic Black matte, and then onto the Mossy Meadow card front.

Next, I stamped a sentiment on the right side of the Basic White 1-1/2 x 4 inch strip, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

I then adhered it onto the DSP panel as shown above.

I added the two colored magnolias to the left side of the sentiment, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added a Frosted Flower and an Elegant Faceted Gem to the sentiment and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Here is another card I made using a different sentiment from the same stamp set:

Special Magnolias Too

The sentiment for this last card came from the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set. Otherwise, everything used was the same as above:

Morning Cross

These beautiful magnolias are perfect for any occasion. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Good Morning Magnolia

Paper:
   Petal Pink A-2, 1" Circle
   Basic Black 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Magnolia Lane DSP 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside), Scrap
   Gold Foil Paper Scrap

Ink:
   StazOn Jet Black

Markers:
   Petal Pink
   Mossy Meadow
   Soft Suede

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Punching

Accessories:
   Magnolia Memory Dies
   Cross of Hope Framelits
   1" Circle Punch
   Natural Finish Ribbon 6"
   Basic Pearl Jewels
   Fine Tip Glue Pen
   Glue Dots
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive
   Stampin' Seal+

First, I cut 6" of the Natural Finish Ribbon and stamped the sentiment using StazOn Jet Black ink. I set it aside to make sure it dried completely. (It dries very quickly, but I didn't want to take any chances.)

Next, I stamped and colored a magnolia, using markers. I then used the Magnolia Memory Dies to cut it. I set this aside next to the ribbon.

I then used a scrap of Gold Foil Paper to die cut a cross with the Cross of Hope Framelits. I actually used the frame around the die cut cross for this card. The solid gold frame, I used on another card.

To accent the cross and make sure it did not get lost among the magnolias, I punched a 1" circle of Petal Pink card-stock and adhered the cross frame, using the Fine Tip Glue Pen.

My next step was to assemble my card.

I added a few glue dots to the back of the stamped Natural Finish Ribbon and adhered it to the bottom portion of my Magnolia Lane DSP. I added some Stampin' Seal+ to the back of the DSP panel and wrapped the rest of the ribbon to the back of it. I adhered this panel to the Basic Black matte with some liquid adhesive.

I then adhered the Petal Pink circle with the cross to the top portion of the panel and added the die cut magnolia next to the sentiment with some dimensionals.

I adhered this panel to the Petal Pink card front and added the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Lastly, I added a Basic Pearl Jewel to the Magnolia.

Pumpkin Magnolia

Simplicity is the key here. One large beautiful flower to trigger a memory of someone.

Stamps:
   Good Morning Magnolia

Paper:
   Wild Wasabi A-2
   Magnolia Lane DSP 5 1/4 x 4
   Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4, 5 x 4 1/4

Ink:
   Early Espresso
Stamping Blends/Markers:
   Early Espresso
   Pumpkin Pie
   Calypso Coral
   Wild Wasabi
   Daffodil Delight

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Magnolia Memory Dies, Stamparatus/MISTI, Adhesive

This is a very easy card to duplicate or CASE. It is also easy to substitute whatever you have on hand in place of these particular items. The Wild Wasabi color is the only item that has been discontinued. You can easily use Old Olive in its place. I just like to use up the things from my stash.

Thank you for stopping and taking a look. I appreciate your time and comments.
