Feel Better Pooch

I created two masks to make this cute card front. What do you think? 

Stamps:

Ink:

   Archival Basic Black

   Delightful Dijon

Markers:

   Cherry Cobbler

   Early Espresso

Technique:

   Double Masking

Accessories:

   Two-Way Glue

   Masks

   Adhesive

First, I created a mask for the puppy, and then one for the hardwood wall in the background. You can find a tutorial for this technique at SCS: Double Masking.

To create a mask for the Hardwood wall, I tore a hole in the center of a Whisper White panel and attached the panel to the Whisper White card panel. This was mask #1. I used paper clips to keep the two panels together.

I then stamped the puppy in the center of this opening, using Archival Basic Black.

Next, I added the mask of the puppy over him (mask #2), and then stamped the hardwood wall, using Delightful Dijon. 

I then removed the masks, and stamped the sentiment on the top and the bottom of the card, using Archival Basic Black ink.

Lastly, I adhered the panel to the Delightful Dijon card front and added the other Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

Shelled Friendship

Sometimes we surprise ourselves by the company we keep. Friendships are formed for countless reasons, and they do not always make sense. The adage is, "Opposites attract." This is why I like this image of a turtle and a dog becoming friends.

Paper: Petal Pink A-2, Pear Pizzazz 5 1/4 x 4, Watercolor 5 x 3 3/4

Ink: Jet Black StazOn, Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, Pear Pizzazz, Stampin' Blends: Petal Pink, Calypso Coral

Techniques: 2-Step Stamping, Blending

Accessories: Adhesive

I used StazOn ink because the markers are alcohol based, and I intended to watercolor the image. The tree leaves were stamped in Petal Pink first and then in Calypso Coral. I repositioned the stamp for the second color.
