Favored Birthday

This is a wonderful layout for smaller panels of designer series paper. Just like everyone else, you probably start with a 12 x 12 sheet, or maybe a 6 x 6 sheet. Either way, once you cut your panels to fit an A-2 size card, you find that there seems to be a few scraps that you just hate to throw away. After all, this paper can be quite expensive. Just create a matte for these left-over panels and arrange them on a card front. Add a sentiment, some embellishments and mail it away. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Waves of Inspiration

Paper:
   Blackberry Bliss A-2, 2-1/4 x 3-3/4 (2)
   Basic White 5-3/8 x 4-1/8, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside), Scrap
   Mossy Meadow 5-1/4 x 4
   Favored Flowers DSP 2 x 3-1/2

Ink:
   Blackberry Bliss

Technique:
   Dry Embossing
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Waves Dies
   Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I embossed the Mossy Meadow panel, using the Layered Leaves 3D embossing folder.

I then adhered it to the Basic White panel, and then onto the Blackberry Bliss card front.

Next, I adhered the two DSP panels onto two Blackberry Bliss mattes.

I then arranged them onto the card front and adhered them with liquid adhesive.

Lastly, I stamped, die cut, and adhered the sentiment to the center of the card, using dimensionals. I also adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Leaves Forever

I used two different embossing folders to create the faux tin metal squares behind the image. Surprisingly, I only applied one layer of silver embossing powder to my paper. I can't decide which one I like better. Thoughts?

Leaves Forever

Stamps:
   Queen Anne's Lace
   Forever Fern

Paper:
   Strawberry Slush A-2, 4-1/4 x 2-1/4
   Mossy Meadow 4-1/2 x 2-1/2
   Whisper White 4 x 2, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
   Basic Black 5-1/4 x 4
   Sahara Sand 8-1/2 x 2-3/4 (10 - 1-1/4" Sq.)

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento
   Strawberry Slush
   Mossy Meadow
   VersaMark

Technique:
   Faux Tin Metal

Accessories:
   Layered Leaves/Painted Texture Embossing Folder
   Silver Embossing Powder
   1-1/4" Sq. Punch
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

Here is another card using the Painted Texture Embossing Folder instead of the Layered Leaves. Which do you like better?

Leaves Forever Too

First, I created my faux tin metal squares. I covered the Sahara Sand strip with VersaMark, applied silver embossing powder, and heat set it. I then punched out ten 1-1/4" squares. I then glued these onto the outer edges of the Basic Black panel. The center of the panel will be covered with an image.

If you do not have a square punch, you can score lines on the strip and fussy cut them after the heat embossing has cooled.

I then adhered the Basic Black panel onto the Strawberry Slush card front. Strawberry Slush has been discontinued, but you can choose Melon Mambo, Magenta Madness, Poppy Parade, or choose your favorite hue.

Next, I stamped and colored my image. I also stamped my sentiment on it.

I adhered the Whisper White panel onto the Strawberry Slush, and then onto the Mossy Meadow. This panel was attached to the center of the card front, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added a few rhinestones and adhered the other Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

Orange Fall Leaves

I like the sights and sounds of fall. The leaves crackle as you walk on them, and if you listen closely, you can hear them hit the ground when they fall off the tree. Many children cannot resist a pile of leaves. Just as you finish raking, children feel compelled to jump into the freshly made pile. The sound of so many leaves being crushed at once, along with the giggles of the kids having so much fun is a delight to my ears. Here is a simple card in orange.

Stamps:
   Colorful Seasons

Paper:
   Pumpkin Pie A-2
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4, Scraps
   Basic Black Scraps

Ink:
   Pumpkin Pie
   Dusty Durango
   Tangerine Tango

Technique:
   Dry Embossing
   Die Cutting
   Sponging

Accessories:
   Layered Leaves Embossing Folder
   Seasonal Layers Thinlits
   Little Letters Thinlits
   Sponge
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I dry embossed my card front using the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This is a 3-D embossing folder that can tear your cardstock if it is too thin. You can easily spritz it with a bit of water to prevent the tearing.

I then sponged my card front with a bit of Dusty Durango.

Next, I stamped, sponged and die cut several leaves using my Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies. I stamped and sponged the leaves using Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, and Dusty Durango.

Once I die cut and sponged them, I crumbled them up a couple of times to loosen up the fibers and create a textured feel to them. I adhered them using dimensionals.

The letters were die cut with the Little Letters Thinlits. I adhered these using liquid glue. I should have arranged these letters in more of a "falling" pattern.

The other Whisper White panel is for the inside of the card.

Thank you so very much for being here. I appreciate you taking the time to glance at my work. Please Contact Me if I can be of service.

Just Breathe

I love the texture on this card. The only thing that is stamped is the sentiment. Everything else is embossed, die cut or sponged. It is a great way to use up scraps. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Colorful Seasons

Paper:
   Delightful Dijon A-2
   Cajun Craze Scraps
   Pumpkin Pie Scraps
   Soft Suede Scraps

Ink:
   Soft Suede

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Dry Embossing
   Sponging

Accessories:
   Layered Leaves Embossing Folder
   Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies
   Sponge
   Glue Dots
   Dimensionals

First, I ran the card base through my die cut & emboss machine. I did mist the paper lightly with water to prevent tearing.

I then sponged it using Soft Suede.

I then die cut several leaves using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies. I adhered the leaf outlines with glue dots. Everything else is attached with dimensionals.

The sentiment is stamped using Soft Suede. I then just snipped the paper around the sentiment. Of course, this can be changed to whatever you need or want.
