First Wreath

A Christmas wreath is always a holiday favorite. It can be so beautifully made that you can feature it as a center piece for your table, place it above your fireplace, and of course hang it on your front door. I began to accumulate so many Christmas wreaths that I ran out of places to show them. How many wreaths do you display each year?

Stamps:
   Peaceful Wreath

Paper:
   Whisper White A-2, 3-1/2 x 4, 5-1/4 x 4
   Crumb Cake 1-1/2 x 2

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento
   Crumb Cake

Markers:
   Old Olive
   Real Red
   Shaded Spruce
   Soft Suede

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies
   Dimensionals
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I stamped, colored, and die cut my wreath and bow.

Next, I took my Whisper White card base and stamped "Peace" in the middle of the card front.

I then adhered the wreath around it using dimensionals.

I attached the Crumb Cake bow with glue dots.

Lastly, I stamped "Wishing You" at the top left of the wreath, and "at Christmas" on the bottom right of the wreath. The other Whisper White panel was adhered to the inside of the card as a finishing touch.

Plaid Christmas

I like to make Christmas cards all year long. I think I own more Christmas stamps, dies, embellishments and designer paper than any other holiday. I hate to admit it, but you could probably add up all of the other holidays and Christmas would still lead the way. I did not even add a sentiment or greeting to this one:

Stamps:
   Peaceful Wreath

Paper:
   Crumb Cake A-2
   Warmth & Cheer DSP 5-1/4 x 4
   Whisper White 3-1/2" Sq.
Crushed Curry 2" Sq., 1" Sq.

Ink:
   Merry Merlot

Markers:
   Cherry Cobbler
   Crumb Cake
   Garden Green

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies
   Adhesive

I associate this card with Christmas because the wreath is made of holly and the traditional red and green colors are used. Still, without the actual Merry Christmas greeting on it, you can actually use it anytime during the winter season to express just about anything: hello, friendship, get well, sympathy, birthday, congratulations, etc. Its true purpose will be determined by what you write on the inside.

Mother's Day

I made a floral wreath to celebrate Mother's Day. Springtime flowers are a perfect way to celebrate in May. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Circle of Spring
   Hardwood

Paper:
   Real Red A-2
   Mint Macaron 5-1/4 x 4
   Whisper White Scraps
   Real Red Scraps

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Mint Macaron

Markers:
   Real Red
   Mint Macaron
   Pretty in Pink

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Sponging

Accessories:
   Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies
   White Tea Lace Paper Doily
   Sponge
   Adhesive

I started with the wreath. I stamped, die cut, and colored it with my markers. I then adhered it to the center of the white paper doily.

I then stamped and die cut the Real Red bow. I glued it on to the bottom center of the wreath.

I stamped the sentiment in the center of the paper doily. (Sentiment can be changed to whatever you need: birthday, get well, congrats, etc.)

Next, I stamped the Hardwood background: Mint Macaron ink on Mint Macaron cardstock. This panel was adhered to the Real Red card base.

The paper doily was then added to the center of the Mint Macaron wall.
