Passion Flower

If you have any of your supplies from the discontinued Pretties Kit, here is an idea on using them. The flowers were white. I added ink to a plastic container, added a bit of water with a spritzer, and dyed the flowers. I let them air dry and then attached them to the card. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Bloom with Hope

Paper:
   Pink Passion A-2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Pink Passion Ink Refill

Technique:
   Dyeing

Accessories:
   Pretties Kit
   Paper Towels
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I dyed the flowers, using Pink Passion ink refill. I used a small plastic container that Stampin' Up! used for the wooden stamps.

To dye the flowers, I added a few drops of Pink Passion ink to a small plastic container. I then sprayed water into the container to create enough liquid for the flowers to absorb. I then added the flowers. Using a pair of tweezers, I swished and turned them, until they were thoroughly dyed. I pulled them out and laid them on paper towels to dry.

I then stamped the sentiment onto the bottom right corner of a Basic White panel.

I adhered the panel to the Pink Passion card front.

Next, I added the flowers, using glue dots. You can use any combination of flowers from the kit. They do layer nicely together.

Lastly, I added pearls from the kit to the center of each flower and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Thinking of You Daily

The combination of colors on this designer series paper is exciting. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Garden Meadow

Paper:
   Pebbled Path A-2
   Calypso Coral 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Softly Stippled DSP 2 x 5-1/4
   Basic White 2 x 5-1/4, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
   Wild Wheat 1-3/4 x 2-3/4

Ink:
   Pebbled Path

Technique:
   Dry Embossing
   Punching

Accessories:
   Everyday Label Punch
   Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder
   Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I dry embossed the Basic White panel, using the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder.

I then adhered the DSP panel to the left side of the Calypso Coral matte and the embossed Basic White panel to the right side of the Calypso Coral matte. Notice, that the embossed panel shrunk just a tad with the embossing, but I didn't mind. If you want them to match perfectly, then you will have to shave off a smidge on the DSP panel.

Next, I adhered the Calypso Coral panel to the Pebbled Path card front.

I then stamped and punched the sentiment on the Wild Wheat piece, using Pebbled Path ink and the Everyday Label Punch.

I attached the sentiment in the center with a few dimensionals.

Lastly, I added a couple of gems and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Here is a link to the products used on this card: Thinking of You Daily.
