Sentimental Greetings

This is definitely a "Blast from the Past." You do not see these telephone booths anymore unless you are watching old Superman movies or a black and white feature. I remember carrying a dime and then a quarter in my shoe, just in case I needed to make a call. Now, I carry my cell phone and make sure it is charged. What do you remember? Do you even recollect telephone booths? Maybe you saw the Alfred Hitchcock movie, The Birds

Sentimental Greetings

Stamps:
   Feeling Sentimental
   Playful Pieces
   A Dozen Thoughts

Paper:
   Crumb Cake A-2
   Calypso Coral 5-1/4 x 4
   Daffodil Delight 3-1/2 x 2-1/2
   Irresistibly Yours DSP 3-1/4 x 2-1/4
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   VersaMark

Markers:
   Soft Sky
   Daffodil Delight
   Calypso Coral
   Crumb Cake

Technique:
   Emboss Resist
   Punching

Accessories:
   1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon
   Itty Bitty Accents Punch
   Tacky Tape/Stamping Seal+
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I randomly stamped a star using VersaMark on the Calypso Coral panel. This created a star watermark. I then set this panel aside.

Next, I took my Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper and colored it using the markers listed above. I then wiped the panel down using a paper towel. This removed the ink on the white embossed stars. If you do not have this DSP you can create one using an emboss resist technique.

I then adhered this panel to the Daffodil Delight panel. This was adhered to the Calypso Coral panel using dimensionals.

I stamped my sentiment in the center of the seam binding ribbon and adhered it onto the Calypso Coral panel, right under the image panel. I used a strong adhesive. (Stamping Seal+)

This panel was then adhered to the Crumb Cake card front.

I punched out two stars from Soft Sky scraps, using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch and adhered them using dimensionals.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Here is a close-up image of each of the cards.

Die cut some leaves, throw in some wooden elements and create a card. I just bought this bundle and wanted to make use of it. So, I went to my scraps and began to stamp and die cut. Then I put them all together on a neutral color. What do you think? Does it work?

Wildly Grateful

Here are some bright springtime colors. I added a Basic Black panel behind the Whisper White to break up the green a bit. The Mango Melody is deliciously bright as well. No worries though, this card will never go unnoticed. Thoughts?

Wildly Grateful

Stamps:
   Lovely You

Paper:
   Mango Melody A-2
   Granny Apple Green 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic Black 3-1/2 x 4-1/4
   Whisper White 3-3/8 x 4, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Flirty Flamingo
   Granny Apple Green
   Mango Melody
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:
   CAS

Accessories:
   Basic Pearl Jewels
   Adhesive

I began with my 3-3/8 x 4 Whisper White panel. I stamped my sentiment in the center of the panel using Tuxedo Black Memento.

I then stamped the leaves around the edges using Granny Apple Green.

Next, I stamped the flower with a stem, using Flirty Flamingo ink. I added four flowers: one from each side.

I then decided to add four small flowers using the Mango Melody.

Lastly, I added a little pearl to each of the Mango Melody flowers and then adhered all of my layers together. The other Whisper White panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

Here is a look at the card with the pearls.

Wildly Grateful Too

I thought about adding flowers to the Granny Apple Green border, using a VersaMark watermark, but changed my mind. I decided it would make the card much too busy. What do you think?
