Mountain Dad

Can you imagine seeing this through your window as you sip your morning beverage? Nature provides the best scenic views. All we have to do is sit and enjoy them.

First, I die cut my window frame from the Very Vanilla 4-1/4 x 3-1/2 piece. 

I placed it on top of the Whisper White panel, and made light pencil marks around the window frame corners. This lets me know what will show through my window.

I then sponged the sky with Marina Mist. 

Stamped the mountains and the cabin with Early Espresso, the trees with Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz, and if needed, the ground cover with Pear Pizzazz. 

The mountains were stamped several times without re-inking the stamp. This results in different shades of Early Espresso which also adds dimension to the view.

I then stamped the sentiment to the bottom of the window frame using Early Espresso.

I erased the pencil marks on the Whisper White piece and lined it up behind my window. More slight pencil marks on anything showing past the window frame.

I trimmed the Whisper White panel to make sure none shows past the window frame. I adhered the panel to the frame.

Next, I dry embossed the Early Espresso panel using the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. I adhered it to the Marina Mist Panel.

I adhered the Marina Mist to the Very Vanilla card base.

Lastly, I adhered the window frame to the center of the card. I used my favorite adhesive. If you want more dimension then use dimensionals on the panel.

Birthday Flowers

Seeing a cake decorated with natural flowers is quite common. Personally, I prefer the ones made of frosting that you could eat and color to your liking. Here is a two tiered cake with three flowers.

I stamped directly onto the Wood Textured DSP and then added color with my markers. 

I adhered the DSP onto the card base. I placed a pearl on each flower and called it a day.

Horses in the Window

When you look out the window do you see the exact same thing each time?

This card follows the same steps as "Deer in the Window." It is the next entry. I did use colored pencils to color in the horses. I then used a fine tip black marker to outline them. I also changed the sentiment.

I apologize for not knowing the name of the horse stamp, but a lady brought me the stamp and asked me to show her how to make a card with it. This is what I came up with on a moments notice.

Deer in the Window

Men and nature are inseparable. Even if your man is not into any of the outdoor activities, he will say he is to get out of the household activities...well, most will.

This is a magnificent stag posing right outside your window. Change the sentiment to use for any occasion that you need. 

I sponged the Whisper White piece with Marina Mist, leaving a bit of white space. 

I die cut my window on the Very Vanilla piece. You may add your sentiment on the window pane using Tuxedo Black Memento. Or, you may opt to not include a sentiment.

I then penciled in the window panes on my sponged Marina Mist panel. This way I can line up my images where I want them. You also want to make sure the sponged panel does not peek past the window pane. If it does, make sure you trim it.

I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the images exactly where I envisioned them. The tree is stamped using Early Espresso, and the stag is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento.

I dry embossed the Early Espresso panel using the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. 

Your card is ready to assemble:

   Very Vanilla is the card base.

   Adhere the Marina Mist panel with adhesive.

   Then add the embossed Early Espresso panel.

   Next center the stamped panel. 

   Lastly, adhere the window with dimensionals.

Pumpkin Trio

This is a fun Halloween card for the kids or an adult who still acts like a kid. You can even make it goofier by adding googly eyes to the pumpkins.

Stamps: Fall Fest, Good Greetings

Paper: Kraft A-2, Rich Razzleberry 4 1/2 x 3 1/2, Motley Monsters DSP 3 1/4" Sq., Whisper White Scraps for the pumpkins and the sentiment

Ink: Tangerine Tango, Bermuda Bay, Garden Green, Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique: Dry Embossing, Sponging 

Accessories: Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder, Fall Fest Die Cuts, Modern Label Punch, Tangerine & White Two-Tone Trim, Sponge, Blender Pens, Dimensionals, Adhesive

First, I inked my pumpkins with Tangerine Tango. Using a blender pen (you can sub a tissue or napkin) I took the ink off of the stem. I colored it in with a Garden Green marker and then stamped it onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock. You then stamp the face with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Die cut them using the Fall Fest Die Cuts or fussy cut them.

I dry embossed the Rich Razzleberry with the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder and the Kraft A-2 with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.

I stamped (Bermuda Bay), punched (Modern Label)and sponged (Tangerine Tango) the sentiment.

The two-tone trim (11") is wrapped around the Rich Razzleberry card stock. 

The two small pumpkins, sentiment, and Rich Razzleberry piece are put on with dimensionals. 

I like these goofy pumpkins for Halloween cards. They are a lot of fun. I hope you like it.
