Gala Thanks

This is a wonderful layout to use those 1/4" strips of cardstock that fill up our scrap boxes. You can add any of the colors found on the designer series paper panel. I chose Basic Black Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Butterfly Gala

Paper:
   Basic White A-2, 2 x 3, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
   Botanical Butterfly DSP 2 x 5-1/2
   Basic Black 1/4 x 5-1/2 (2)

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Dry Embossing

Accessories:
   Stitched Shapes Framelits
   Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder
   Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequins
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I dry embossed the Basic White card front, using the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.

I then adhered the Botanical Butterfly DSP panel onto the center of the card front.

Next, I added a 1/4" strip of Basic Black to each side of the designer series paper panel.

I then stamped and die cut the sentiment, using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

Next, I attached the sentiment toward the bottom of the card front, using dimensionals. You can place the sentiment anywhere on the card front, and change it to suit your current need.

Lastly, I added a few sequins and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Much Affection

Sometimes all you need is a different kind of layout to draw interest to your card. Plus, you don't want to forget to fussy cut images from the tiny scraps of designer series paper that you might toss in the trash bin. What do you think of this one?

Stamps:
   Butterfly Gala

Paper:
   Night of Navy A-2
   Affectionately Yours DSP 9/16 x 2-1/8, 11/16 x 2-1/2, 3/4 x 2-7/8, 3/4 x 3-1/4, 1-1/2 x 4-7/8
   Basic White 2 x 3, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Night of Navy

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Fussy Cutting

Accessories:
   Stitched Shapes Framelits
   Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequins
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I adhered the large DSP rectangle to the top of the Night of Navy card front.

I then added the strips of DSP from the shortest to the longest strip. I spaced them as evenly as I could. Note: these can be left-over strips from the DSP, just make sure they are each cut a bit longer than the previous one.

Next, I stamped and die cut the sentiment.

I attached the sentiment, using dimensionals.

I then fussy cut a flower that was on a tiny square of DSP and adhered it to the top of the sentiment oval.

Lastly, I added sequins to the card front and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Corners

These corner stamps decorate a card front all by themselves. You can choose to use only one stamp on one corner or stamp it on each corner. What do you think?

   Corner Bouquet
   Butterfly Gala

Paper:
   Merry Merlot A-2
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink:
   Shaded Spruce

Both cards use the same supplies listed here. The sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala stamp set. The flower bouquets are from the Corner Bouquet.

I'm thinking that my next card with this stamp set might include a bit of washi tape on the front of the card. What do you think?

Black & White Butterfly Note

I made this background by adding drops of alcohol inks to glossy white paper. The purple does overpower the other colors, but the black and white images look great against it. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Butterfly Gala

Paper:
   Taken With Teal A-2
   Glossy White 5-1/4 x 4
   Whisper White 3-1/4 x 4 (2), 3/4 x 2-1/2, 5-1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks

Technique:
   Alcohol Ink Drops
   Punching

Accessories:
   Butterfly Duet Punch
   Modern Label Punch
   Glue Dots
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I made the background and set it aside to dry. It does not take long at all.

In the meantime, I stamped my butterflies and sentiment. I used my punches to cut them out. The sentiment is attached with dimensionals, and the butterflies are adhered with glue dots.

I then adhered the panel to the card base, and the Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

I had another background, so I added a daisy with a button for the center. I also brought out the yellow in the background by changing the card base. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Daisy Delight
   Butterfly Gala

Paper:
   Yo Yo Yellow A-2
   Glossy White 5-1/4 x 4
   Whisper White 3-1/4 x 4 (2), 3/4 x 2-1/2, 5-1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks

Technique:
   Alcohol Ink Drops
   Punching

Accessories:
   Daisy Punch
   Modern Label Punch
   Corduroy Button
   Glue Dots
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

I did curl the daisy petals with my bone folder. The daisy is adhered with glue dots, and the sentiment is attached with dimensionals.

Butterfly Daisy

Springtime equals beginnings and renewals. It is the time to remind those in our circles that life is better with them in it.

Stamps: Butterfly Gala, Daisy Delight
Paper: Flirty Flamingo A-2, Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4, Scraps of both for daisy & butterflies
Ink: Berry Burst, Flirty Flamingo, Pineapple Punch
Technique: Clear Block Stamping
Accessories: Butterfly Duet Punch, Daisy Punch, Clear Block "B", Pumpkin Pie Corduroy Button, Glue Dots, Adhesive

I used glue dots to adhere the button and the butterflies. I also just picked up the ink with the clear block and stamped on the Whisper White card stock. I did not add any water. I also turned the direction of the block for the middle block.
