High Note

Note cards are fun and easier to fill. The smaller canvas somehow makes it all seem rather cute. One stamp can take up the entire front if you let it. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   High Tide

Paper:
   Whisper White Note Card 5 x 3-1/2, 4-3/4 x 3-1/4 (2)
   Night of Navy 4-7/8 x 3-3/8

Ink:
   Night of Navy
   Pacific Point
   Soft Suede
   So Saffron

Technique:
   Stamp-Off

Accessories:
   Adhesive

First, I stamped the sand at the bottom of the Whisper White panel, using Soft Suede. I stamped-off to get a lighter shade of Soft Suede.

I then stamped the lighthouse, using Pacific Point. This is a two-step stamp, so I inked up the full lighthouse with Pacific Point, but I stamped-off on scratch paper first, and then stamped the white panel. I then took the detailed image of the light house and stamped it over the first image with a full strength of Pacific Point. You may want to play with this on a scratch paper before stamping your panel.

Next, I stamped the sentiment, using Night of Navy on the right side of the lighthouse.

I then added a beam of light with So Saffron ink.

Next, I stamped the birds, using Soft Suede and added gritty sand to the beach. I did NOT stamp-off for these.

I then adhered the panel onto a Night of Navy matte, and then onto the front of the Note Card.

Lastly, I adhered a panel to the inside of the note card.

Get Well Little Bird

These images are suitable for any sentiment or color scheme you desire. Thoughts?

Get Well Little Bird

Stamps:
   Serene Silhouettes
   Work of Art
   Sincere Salutations

Paper:
   Tangelo Twist A-2
   Basic Black 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic White 5 x 3-3/4, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Tangelo Twist
   Hello Honey
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:
   Stamp-Off

Accessories:
   Adhesive

Although the background looks like I used four different colors, I used only two: Tangelo Twist and Hello Honey. I used a technique called Stamp-Off.

First, I stamped the arch using Tangelo Twist on the top of the Basic White panel and then immediately stamped it again below it. It is the same color, but a lighter shade.

I then cleaned the stamp and inked it using Hello Honey. I stamped the arch below the Tangelo Twist and then stamped it again below it, giving me the two shades of Hello Honey.

Next, I stamped the silhouette of the birds and tree, using Tuxedo Black Memento.

I then stamped the sentiment on the bottom right of the panel.

Next, I adhered the panel onto a Basic Black matte and then onto the Tangelo Twist card front.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Here is another card, but I switched the sentiment to a Thinking of You from the Three Thoughts stamp set:

Three Thoughts

Hopeful Get Well

I made this background, using a shaving cream technique. It reminds me of clouds. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Healing Hugs

Paper:
   Lavender Lace A-2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento
   Cucumber Crush
   Lovely Lipstick

Re-Inkers:
   Lovely Lilac
   Pool Party

Technique:
   Shaving Cream

Accessories:
   Shaving Cream
   Paper Plate
   Stirrer
   Adhesive

First, I put foamy shaving cream on a paper plate.

I then dropped a few drops of ink onto it, keeping the inks separate. I used Lovely Lilac and Pool Party.

Next, I grabbed a wooden stirrer and swirled the colors around the shaving cream. I tried not to mix them, and left a bit of white showing.

I then placed my Basic White panel on top of the shaving cream and lifted it up. I wiped it down with a paper towel and let it set for a few minutes to make sure it dried.

Next, I stamped a flower, using Lovely Lipstick, in the bottom left corner of the panel.

I then added a leaf with a bit of Cucumber Crush.

Next, I stamped a sentiment in the upper right corner of the panel.

Lastly, I assembled the card. I adhered the panel onto the Lavender Lace card front and added a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Oceanic Birthday

I created the watercolor background with only two colors: Bashful Blue and Brilliant Blue. I let them sit for a few hours to see the true colors. I think it looks great for an underwater scene. What do you think?

Stamps:
   By the Tide
   Bring on the Cake

Paper:
   Bashful Blue A-2
   Basic Black 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Watercolor 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento
   Mossy Meadow
   Elegant Eggplant

Re-Inkers:
   Bashful Blue
   Brilliant Blue

Technique:
   Watercolor

Accessories:
   Wink of Stella Clear
   Aqua Painter
   Adhesive

First, I applied the ink to the watercolor paper to create the background: Bashful Blue and Brilliant Blue. I let it sit for a few hours to let it completely dry and get a true color.

I then stamped the sentiment, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

Next, I stamped the seaweed, using Mossy Meadow.

I then stamped the seahorses with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

Next, I stamped the seashell, using Elegant Eggplant. I added some Clear Wink of Stella to get it to sparkle.

I then added a bit of the Wink of Stella to the seahorses as well.

Next, I adhered the panel onto its Basic Black matte and then adhered it to the Bashful Blue card front.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Holiday Celebration

Christmas cards should be created all year long. I have fallen behind, but it is time to get busy. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Greetings of the Season

Paper:
   Shaded Spruce A-2, 2-3/4" Sq.
   Real Red 5-1/4 x 4
   All Is Bright DSP 3 x 4
   Basic White 2-1/2" Sq., 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

   CAS

Accessories:
   Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes
   Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Red & White Striped Ribbon 6"
   Dimensionals
   Mini Glue Dots

First, I adhered the All Is Bright DSP panel to the bottom of the Real Red panel.

I then added the Red & White striped ribbon across the seam to hide it. I secured it on the back of the panel with a strong adhesive.

Next, I adhered the panel onto the Shaded Spruce card front.

I then stamped the sentiment in the center of the Basic White square, using Shaded Spruce ink.

Next, I adhered it to the Shaded Spruce matte and attached it to the card front, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added the Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the sentiment panel, a few Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes to the top of the card, and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Current or discontinued, it doesn't matter. If it is Stampin' Up! it will coordinate with existing products. Thoughts?

   Crushed Curry 2" Sq.
   Delightfully Eclectic DSP 1-3/4 x 4

   2" Circle Punch
   2-1/4" Circle Punch
   Peaceful Poppies Elements

First, I adhered the two different DSP's onto a Basic White panel. The Peaceful Poppies DSP on the top and the Delightfully Eclectic DSP on the bottom.

I then adhered the Crushed Curry, Old Olive, and the DSP panel onto their own Basic Black matte.

Next, I added the Peaceful Poppies element to the Crushed Curry square. I used glue dots to attach it, but your favorite adhesive should work just fine.

I then stamped the sentiment on the Basic White circle and adhered it to its Peaceful Poppies matte.

Next, I adhered the DSP panel onto the Old Olive card front and added the Old Olive panel and Crushed Curry square as shown above.

I then attached the sentiment circle, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added a Peaceful Poppies Element on the top left of the sentiment and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Paper Trees

Anytime I create, using a special technique, I make more than what I intend to use. So, I actually used a leftover strip from another project that called for a shaving cream technique. I think it worked here. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Rooted in Natue

Paper:
   Very Vanilla A-2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)
   First Edition DSP 2-3/4 x 5-1/4
   Shaving Cream Leftover Strip 1-1/4 x 5-1/4

Ink:
   Call Me Clover
   Merry Merlot

Re-Inkers:
   Various Colors

Technique:
   Shaving Cream

Accessories:
   Shaving Cream
   Adhesive

First, I adhered the First Edition DSP to the bottom of a Basic White panel.

I then adhered the leftover shaving cream strip above it.

Next, I stamped the trees directly onto the panel, using Call Me Clover ink.

I then stamped the sentiment, using Merry Merlot.

Lastly, I adhered the panel onto a Very Vanilla card front and added a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Retired Butterfly

When you create an unusual background, you can do just about anything to dress it up for the recipient. I added a fluttering butterfly to mine. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Teeny Tiny Wishes

Paper:
   Basic White A-2, Scrap, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
   Tempting Turquoise 5-1/4 x 4, Scrap
   Color Me Irrisistibly DSP 5 x 3-3/4

Ink:
   Baked Brown Sugar
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Punching
   Sponge Brayer

Accessories:
   Butterfly Thinlits Dies
   Classic Label Punch
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   Dimensionals
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I added ink to the Color Me Irrisistibly DSP. I used a sponge brayer to apply some Baked Brown Sugar to the panel. This is an emboss-resist specialty paper. So, all I have to do is add the ink. I then wiped it down with a paper towel to allow the embossing to come through.

*If you do not have this specialty paper then simply create your own: heat emboss a panel with white embossing powder. Then apply ink to the background and wipe down with a paper towel.

I then adhered the panel onto a Tempting Turquoise panel and then onto a Basic White card front.

Next, I stamped and punched a sentiment, using Teeny Tiny Wishes, the Classic Label Punch, and Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

I then die cut a Tempting Turquoise butterfly and attached it with glue dots.

Next, I attached the sentiment to the top left of the butterfly, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added some Basic Rhinestone Jewels to the butterfly and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Rooted Always

This simple layout can be used for any sentiment that you need. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Rooted in Nature

Paper:
   Tranquil Tide A-2
   Cajun Craze 5-1/4 x 4
   Nature's Poem DSP 4 x 4-1/2 cut @ 1-1/2 twice
   Basic White 3" Sq., 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Petal Pink
   Tranquil Tide

Technique:
   Fussy Cut

Accessories:
   Jute Twine 25"
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I stamped the log, using Petal Pink ink. I stamped it on the 3" square of Basic White.

I then fussy cut around it and stamped the sentiment in the center, using Tranquil Tide ink.

Next, I adhered the three panels of Nature's Poem DSP onto the Cajun Craze panel. I kept the panels in order and spaced them as evenly as possible.

I then wrapped the Jute Twine around the bottom of the panel and tied a knot to keep it together.

Next, I adhered the panel onto the Tranquil Tide card front.

Lastly, I added the log to the top center of the card, using dimensionals and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Thank you so very much for being here. I appreciate you taking the time to glance at my work. Please Contact Me if I can be of service.
