Bokeh Rock Star

Everyone needs a good pat on the back sometimes. So, send a card to that person who needs to be reminded. What do you think of this one?

Stamps:
   Be the Star

Paper:
   Basic White A-2, 5 x 3-3/4, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
   Basic Black 5-1/4 x 4, Scraps

Ink:
   Pool Party
   Bermuda Bay
   Island Indigo
   Whisper White Craft

Technique:
   Bokeh
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Sponge
   Stars Framelits Dies
   White Embossing Powder
   Embossing Buddy
   Dimensionals
   Mask using 1-3/4, 1-1/4, 1" Circle Punch
   Sponge Dauber

First, I sponged the Basic White panel using Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, and Island Indigo.

I then created a mask and laid it on top of my sponged panel. Using a sponge dauber, I added Whisper White craft ink in each of the circles. You want to make sure your mask does not move around.

Next, I took Basic Black scraps and die cut stars. I then patted them down with an embossing buddy.

Using Whisper White craft ink, I carefully stamped them, added white embossing powder and heat set them. Once, they cooled I attached them to the card front with dimensionals.

Lastly, I adhered the panel to a Basic Black matte and then onto the Basic White card front. I added a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

   Blueberry Bushel
   Smoky Slate

Technique:
   Bokeh

Accessories:
   Sponge Dauber

First, I applied Balmy Blue as my watercolor wash background. I let it dry.

Next, I added the Bokeh dots using Smoky Slate and various circle sizes.

Lastly, I stamped my sentiment using Blueberry Bushel.

Awesomeness

What better way is there to brighten up someone's day than to let them know how awesome they are in your eyes. This card demonstrates the fabulous bokeh technique. Thus, an awesome card for an awesome person.

Stamps:
   Big News

Paper:
   Whisper White A-2, 5 x 3-3/4
   Basic Black 5-1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Pool Party
   Bermuda Bay
   Island Indigo
   White Craft
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:
   Bokeh
   Masking
   Sponging

Accessories:
   1-3/4", 1-1/4", 1" Circle Punches
   Sponge
   Sponge Dauber
   Adhesive

I punched out several circles of three different sizes.

I then temporarily adhered them to my Whisper White panel, creating circle masks.

I carefully sponged on Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, and Island Indigo on the Whisper White panel around the circles.

I then carefully removed the circle masks. I added more circles using white craft ink, a sponge dauber, and the circle stencil I created when I punched out the circles.

I let the panel dry and then stamped my Big News sentiment in the center.

There are several ways to achieve this effect. This is the one I thought was easy.

Thank you so much for stopping by here. Let me know what you think.
