Pressed Daisies

This card makes me smile. I also like the way it feels. The texture is wonderful. Do you like to use embossing folders on your cards? Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Daisy Delight
   Go To Greetings

Paper:
   Blushing Bride A-2, 3" Sq. (4)
   Mossy Meadow 3-7/8 x 4-5/8
   All ABloom DSP 3-3/4 x 4-1/2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Strawberry Slush
   Daffodil Delight
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:
   Faux Pressed Flowers

Accessories:
   Daisy Punch
   Square Lattice Embossing Folder
   Gold Faceted Gems
   Mini Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I stamped, punched, and adhered the daisies onto the All ABloom DSP. I used up the four 3" Squares for the daisies, and adhered them together using mini glue dots.

I then dry embossed the panel, using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

Next, I adhered the embossed panel onto the Mossy Meadow matte.

I then used dimensionals to attach it to the Blushing Bride card front.

Next, I stamped the sentiment below the panel, using Tuxedo Black Memento.

Lastly, I stamped the center of each daisy with a bit of Daffodil Delight, added a Gold Faceted Gem, and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

There is a tutorial on SCS for this technique: Faux Pressed Flowers.

Good World

Taking the time to heat emboss your sentiment can make your card elegant and striking all at the same time. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Earthen Textures
   Texturas Naturales (Spanish)

Paper:
   Gray Granite A-2
Earthen Elegance DSP 4" Sq. (Angle Cut - Top)
   Basic White 2-3/4 x 3-3/4, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
   Boho Blue 2 x 2-1/2
   Misty Moonlight 1/4 x 5-1/2
   Pebbled Path 1 x 2-1/4

Ink:
   Boho Blue
   Pebbled Path
   Misty Moonlight
   VersaMark

Technique:
   Heat Embossing
   Punching
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Earthen Textures Dies
   Banners Pick a Punch
   Embossing Buddy
   White Embossing Powder
   2023-2025 In-Color Dots
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I cut the Earthen Elegance DSP square. I then cut the top at a slight angle to draw a bit of interest, and adhered it to the Gray Granite card front.

I then stamped and die cut a vase on the Boho Blue piece, using Misty Moonlight ink.

Next, I stamped the branch (Pebbled Path) and feathered flowers (Boho Blue) on the Basic White piece. I only inked the top of the stamps and stamped toward the left top of the card stock. If you ink the entire stamp, the stems will show at the bottom of the vase.

I then adhered the die cut vase onto the Basic White piece.

Next, I adhered the stamped Basic White panel onto the card front.

I added the Misty Moonlight strip on the right side of the Basic White panel to even out the image and color.

Next, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on the Pebbled Path piece. I used the Embossing Buddy, VersaMark, and White Embossing Powder along with a heating tool.

I then snipped the left side, using the Banners Pick a Punch, and attached it with a few dimensionals.

Lastly, I added a few In-Color Dots and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

I made the same card, using sentiments in Spanish:

Positively Pressed

Do you remember these pressed petals? I really like the color and the ease of adding them to a card, just peel and stick! I still have quite a few that I need to use. What about you?

Stamps:
   Positive Thoughts

Paper:
   Soft Suede A-2
   Merry Merlot 3-1/2" Sq.
   Pressed Petals DSP 3-3/8" Sq.
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:
   CAS

Accessories:
   Pressed Petals
   Clear Faceted Gems
   Adhesive

First, I stamped the center of the Pressed Petals DSP square. I needed some sympathy cards, so I chose a sentiment from the Positive Thoughts stamp set. You can use any small sentiment that you have on hand.

I then adhered the DSP square to a Merry Merlot matte.

Next, I adhered the square panel to the center of the Soft Suede card front.

I then added the Pressed Petals to the corners of the DSP square.

Lastly, I added a Clear Faceted gem to each of the clusters and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Metallics

Turn your coloring hobby into unique backgrounds for card making or other projects of your choice. Think before you toss it into a trash bin. I may not be a decent artist, but they do say that X marks the spot. Do you enjoy coloring?

Stamps:
   None

Paper:
   Crisp Cantaloupe A-2
   Basic Black 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Coloring Book Page 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Various Markers - Personal Choice
   Silver Metallic Marker

Technique:
   Coloring

Accessories:
   Adhesive

First, I colored in my favorite coloring book. I found that patterns work best for a card front. Again, this is a personal choice.

I then cut my page down to 5-1/4 x 4.

Next, I adhered the page to a Basic Black matte and then onto the Crisp Cantaloupe card front.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

You can choose to add embellishments, but I chose to keep mine clean and simple. I placed this card in the All Occasions category, since I did not add a sentiment at this time.

Thank you so very much for being here. I appreciate you taking the time to glance at my work. Please Contact Me if I can be of service.
