Waffle Christmas

 The gold waffle paper together with the Cherry Cobbler Eyelet Border adorns the sentiment beautifully on this Christmas card. What do you think?

Technique:

   Heat Embossing

   Punching

Accessories:

   Gold Waffle Paper

   2-1/2" Circle Punch

   Stamp-a-ma-jig/Stamparatus/MISTI

   Basic Rhinestone Jewels

   Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder

   Eyelet Border Punch

   Glue Dots

   Adhesive

First, I punched out the 2-1/2" Circle on the top-center of the card front. I lightly traced the circle on the bottom panel to help center the flower when stamping.

I then stamped the poinsettia with Versa Mark, covered it with Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder, and heat embossed it.

Next, I used the Eyelet Border Punch on the Cherry Cobbler piece. I punched two borders. I then adhered waffle paper on the bottom of the eyelet border as shown in the picture. 

The bottom border was adhered to the card base first. I then stamped the sentiment and the tiny poinsettias around the punched circle and the sentiment.

I then adhered the top border. I added tiny rhinestones to the tiny poinsettias.

I found a small wreath that was sitting in my crafty supplies. I decided to adhere it to the center of the large poinsettia with a couple of glue dots.

Christ Is Born

This is a classic Christmas card with traditional poinsettias. Although the stamp set is no longer current, the images never go out of style.

Stamps:

Paper:

   Old Olive A-2

   Chocolate Chip 5 1/4 x 4

   Whisper White 5 x 3 3/4, 3" Squares (2)

Ink:

   Old Olive

   Chocolate Chip

   Real Red

   So Saffron

   Marina Mist

Technique:

   Stamp-Off

   Fussy Cutting

   Punching

Accessories:

   1/2" Circle Punch, Paper Snips, Dimensionals, Adhesive

The poinsettias were stamped randomly on the Whisper White to create the background. 

Two poinsettias were stamped using Real Red. These were fussy cut and adhered with dimensionals. 

The sentiment was stamped using Chocolate Chip.
