Olive Branch

This Clean And Simple (CAS) card is fast and easy to duplicate. You can easily change the sentiment to suit your current need. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Olive Branch

Paper:
   Old Olive A-2
   Basic Black 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)
   Gold Foil Paper Scraps

Ink:
   Evening Evergreen
   Old Olive

Technique:
   CAS
   Die Cutting
   Punching

Accessories:
   Cross of Hope Framelits
   Itty Bitty Accents Punch
   Adhesive

First, I stamped the olive branch across the bottom of the card, using Old Olive ink.

I then stamped the sentiment on the top of the panel, using Evening Evergreen.

Next, I stamped the smaller branch around the outer edges of the card, using Old Olive ink.

I then die cut a cross from the Cross of Hope Framelits, and punched a golden heart, using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch. I used gold foil scraps for both of these.

I adhered them with a bit of adhesive to the card front.

Next, I matted the Basic White panel with a panel of Basic Black and adhered it to the Old Olive card front.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Wanna Ride

Bring a smile to that motorcycle fan in your circle. This card takes less than five minutes to create. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   One Wild Ride

Paper:
   Rich Razzleberry A-2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black

Technique:
   CAS

Accessories:
   Adhesive

First, I stamped the motorcycle in the center of the Basic White panel, using Archival Basic Black. Tuxedo Black Memento ink will work just as well.

I then stamped the sentiment on the upper-left and the lower-right of the panel. I chose to have both on the front of my card, but you can easily move the bottom one to the inside of the card.

This is definitely classified as a masculine card, since it bears no color, no bling, no muss, and no fuss.

Shimmery Tree

Christmas cards need to be made all year to have enough to mail during Christmas. Besides, it is good for the soul to just stamp and use all of your supplies, no matter the current season. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Lovely as a Tree
   Four the Holidays

Paper:
   Garden Green A-2
   Basic Black 5-1/4 x 4
   Bashful Blue 5 x 3-3/4
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Garden Green
   Frost White Shimmer Paint

Technique:
   Shimmery Resist

Accessories:
   Sponge Dauber
   Clear Embossing Powder
   Adhesive

I followed the tutorial for Shimmery Resist found on the SCS site.

Basically, I stamped my image and applied clear embossing powder and heat set it.

I then sponged on shimmery paint all over it.

Then I buffed it with a paper towel to remove the paint from the image.

I then adhered the layers together, and added Basic White to the inside of the card.

Snowman Builder

When I was challenged to build a snowman, I thought of circles. So, I punched out three circles in Basic White cardstock and created a Christmas card. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Cold Play
   A Cardinal Christmas
   Perpetual Birthday Calendar

Paper:
   Soft Sky A-2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside), 2-1/2" Circle, 2" Circle, 1-3/8 " Circle, Scrap
   Basic Black 1/4" Circle (2), 1/8" Circle (4)

Ink:
Archival Basic Black or Tuxedo Black Memento
   Pumpkin Pie
   Whisper White Craft

Technique:
   Punching

Accessories:
   2-1/2" Circle Punch
   2" Circle Punch
   1-3/8" Circle Punch
   1/4" Circle Punch
   1/8" Circle Punch
   Glue Dots
   Brights Button Collection
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I punched out all of my cardstock circles. Note - You need two 1/4" Basic Black circles for the eyes and four 1/8" circles for the mouth.

I then stamped and fussy cut the snowman's hat.

The nose, hat, and arms are from the Cold Play stamp set.

The sentiment is from A Cardinal Christmas stamp set.

The snowflakes on the background are from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set.

Next, I randomly stamped the snowflakes, using Whisper White Craft ink.

I then pieced my snowman together. I began with the largest circle on the bottom, followed by the medium circle and then the smallest circle on the top. I did not add any adhesive, until I was satisfied with the placement of the circles.

I added the Pumpkin Pie nose to the center of the small circle and adhered the two black eyes and the four circles forming the mouth.

I placed three buttons on the middle circle and stamped the arms. I attached the buttons, using glue dots.

I then stamped the sentiment on the largest circle. Satisfied with the placement of the circles, I adhered them all beginning with the bottom and working my way up to the top.

Lastly, I added the hat with a dimensional, stamped the arms, and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Merlot Petals

These colors are beautiful together, and the writing on the wall is the icing on the cake. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Teeny Tiny Wishes

Paper:
   Merry Merlot A-2
   Pressed Petals DSP 5-1/2 x 4-1/4
   Very Vanilla 3/4 x 1-3/4, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Merry Merlot

Technique:
   Punching
   CAS

Accessories:
   Small Oval Punch
   Basic Pearl Jewels
   Adhesive

I would love to take credit for stamping this beautiful card front, but it is a panel of Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper by Stampin' Up! All I had to do was cut it down to size and adhere it to a card front. I chose Merry Merlot as my card base.

I then stamped and punched a sentiment, using the small oval punch, Merry Merlot ink, and a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock.

I adhered the sentiment, added a couple of pearls, and adhered a panel of Very Vanilla to the inside of the card.

First, I created my background, using a stencil and sponges. I began with Only Orange at the top, followed by Peekaboo Peach, Tempting Turquoise and Bermuda Bay as the final color.

Next, I stamped and die cut my sentiment, using the Stitched Labels Framelits. I colored it, using various markers, matching those on the background. Lastly, I sponged Tempting Turquoise around the edge to accent it more.

Butterfly Brusho Flower

Anytime you use Brusho Crystal Colour, you will create a unique card front. Brushos are activated by water. So, the amount, number of times, and even how you apply water will have an effect on your result. Let's not forget the amount of crystals that you begin with have the most effect on your result. Here are a couple of cards I made, using Brusho Crystal Colours. What do you think?

Butterfly Brush

Stamps:
   Beautiful Day

Paper:
   Berry Burst A-2
   Basic Black 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Watercolor 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black

Brusho Crystal Colour:
   Prussian Blue
   Yellow
   Gamboge

Technique:
   Watercolor/Brushos

Accessories:
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   Adhesive

Here is another card I created, using Brushos:

Brusho Flower

Stamps:
   Beautiful Day

Paper:
   Sweet Sugarplum A-2
   Basic Black 4-3/4 x 3-3/4
   Watercolor 3-1/2 x 4-1/2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black

Brusho Crystal Colour:
   Prussian Blue
   Yellow
   Gamboge

Technique:
   Watercolor/Brushos

Accessories:
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   Adhesive

I started with a watercolor panel. I sprinkled Brusho Colour flakes onto the watercolor panel. Sprayed water on it, and set it aside to dry.

I then stamped my image and sentiment.

I adhered the panel to a Basic Black matte and then onto the card front.

Lastly, I added a few rhinestones and adhered the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Napkin Star

Make use of those beautiful left-over holiday napkins. Some of us buy special napkins to celebrate a special occasion, such as a graduation or birthday. Now, you can use them to create beautiful cards! You will love how silky smooth they feel. Take a peek at this one:

Stamps:
   Sincere Salutations
   Patterned Pines

Paper:
   Basic White A-2, 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink:
   Whisper White Craft

Technique:
   Felted Cardstock

Accessories:
   Clear Cling Wrap
   Newsprint
   Holiday/Decorative Napkin
   Iron
   Adhesive
   Paper Snips

First, I followed the tutorial from SCS on Felted Cardstock. Click on it and see step-by-step instructions as well as a video. I can't explain it any better than Lydia.

I had some 4th of July napkins, but I needed a Christmas card to add to my stash. So, I used the part of the napkin with a star on it.

Once I had my silky smooth panel, I added a few more stars and a holiday greeting, using the Whisper White Craft ink.

I then adhered the panel on to a Basic White card front and added a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Marbleous & Dandy

I like the white silhouettes on the black background. It is a classic look. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Teeny Tiny Wishes

Paper:
   Bumblebee A-2
   Marbleous DSP 5-1/4 x 4, Scrap
   Dandy Laser-Cut Paper
   Basic Black 3-1/4 x 4-3/4
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:
   Punching

Accessories:
   Small Oval Punch
   Basic Pearl Jewels
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I stamped and punched out the sentiment. I stamped on a small scrap of DSP and punched it out with the small oval punch. The Dandy Laser-Cut paper is so beautiful, I didn't want to cover it up at all.

I then adhered the pre-cut silhouette panel onto a Basic Black panel and then onto a DSP panel. This was then all adhered to the Bumblebee card front.

Next, I attached the sentiment, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added a couple of pearls and adhered the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Celebrate Pink

This is a great way to use up some of those old nail polish hues that are sitting in your vanity. Mix some colors and get creative. What do you think?

Stamps:
   None

Paper:
   Powder Pink A-2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2), Scraps
   Basic Black Scraps

Ink:
   None

Technique:
   Nail Polish Marbling
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Celebrate You Thinlits
   Disposable Container
   Disposable Stirer
   Paper Towels
   Nail Polish
   Adhesive

Check out the tutorial at SCS: Nail Polish Marbling.

I followed the instructions on the tutorial. You do need time for the panel to dry.

While my panel was drying, I die cut my sentiment using Basic White and Basic Black scraps. I used the word, Celebrate, as my sentiment.

I adhered the Basic Black die cut on top of the Basic White die cut and slightly moved it to create the white silhouette behind it.
