Gorgeous

A lady standing in the middle of a field of flowers will always be a sight to behold! Agree?

Stamps:
   Beautiful You
   Happy Birthday Gorgeous
   In the Trees

Paper:
   Berry Burst A-2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2), Scraps

Ink:
   Archival Basic black
   Berry Burst
   Call Me Clover
   Flirty Flamingo
   Garden Green
   Grapefruit Grove
   Lovely Lipstick
   Old Olive
   Pear Pizzazz

Markers:
   Berry Burst

Technique:
   2-Step Stamping
   Stamp-Off

Accessories:
   Gold Glitter Ribbon
   Classic Label Punch
   Rhinestone Basic Jewels
   Dimensionals
   Tacky Tape
   Adhesive

I began by stamping the blades of grass in Old Olive and Garden Green on the bottom of the card.

I then stamped the stems with Call Me Clover and added Garden Green for the leaves.

I used Grapefruit Grove, Flirty Flamingo, and Lovely Lipstick for the flowers.

Next, I stamped the lady using Archival Basic Black and filled in her dress with Berry Burst. I colored her hat with a marker.

I then stamped the sentiment and punched it out using the Classic Label Punch. I attached it with dimensionals.

I added a strip of Gold Glitter Ribbon to mask the stems on the grass. I used tacky tape on the back of the panel to keep the ribbon in place.

I then adhered the panel to the Berry Burst card front.

Next, I added rhinestones to adorn the lady and her bed of flowers.

Lastly, I adhered the other Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Brighter Days OSW #10

This is card 10 of 14 using one sheet from the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper Pack.

Stamps:
   Beautiful You

Paper:
   Very Vanilla A-2
Painted Autumn DSP 4 x 5-1/4 (measure 1" from top left and right bottom, then cut diagonally)

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black

Technique:
   None

Accessories:
   Adhesive

I used the top half of the previous panel. It is cut one inch from the top and bottom on a diagonal. Since the DSP is double sided, I flipped the paper over and used the back side for this card.

I adhered the DSP to the top part of the Very Vanilla card base.

I then stamped the lady with her umbrella on the bottom right corner.

I added the sentiment to the left of her. I decided to not add any color.

Here is a video showing and explaining all 14 cards. Please excuse my senior moments.

Birthday Burst

The Stamparatus makes it easy to duplicate or mass produce some cards. This tool is unique because it allows you four different surfaces to use for exact positioning. Here is a birthday card I made using my Stamparatus. Obviously, the Stamparatus is not a necessity for creating, but it does make it easier.

Stamps:
   Charming Cafe
   Beautiful You
   Beautiful Day

Paper:
   Berry Burst A-2
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Berry Burst
   Archival Basic Black

Markers:
   Melon Mambo
   Berry Burst
   Old Olive
   Real Red
   Pear Pizzazz
   Sweet Sugarplum

Technique:
   Stamparatus
   Paper Piercing

Accessories:
   Paper Piercer
   Stamparatus
   Adhesive

First, I positioned my frame on the Whisper White panel, making sure I left enough room at the bottom for the sentiment. I picked up the stamp with the Stamparatus. Inked and stamped the frame.

Second, I positioned the figure inside the frame. I flipped the panel of the Stamparatus and picked up the stamp. I then inked and stamped the figure inside the frame.

Third, I positioned the stamp to color in the dress. I picked up the stamp with another panel of the Stamparatus. I inked and stamped the inside of the dress.

Lastly, I positioned the sentiment stamp. I flipped the second panel of the Stamparatus and picked up the sentiment. I inked and stamped the sentiment.

I then used my markers to color in the flowers on the frame and the ladies hat.

I pierced the corners of the Whisper White panel and then put the card together.

Pomegranate Birthday

There is always one who stands out from the crowd. This is definitely one way to show someone how special they truly are with all of their wonderful gifts.

Stamps:
   Beautiful You

Paper:
   Purely Pomegranate A-2
   Basic Black 5-1/4 x 4
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside), 5 x 3-3/4 (Card Front)

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Basic Gray
   Purely Pomegranate

Technique:
   2-Step Stamping
   Watercolor

Accessories:
   Stamparatus
   Aqua Painter
   Adhesive

The sentiment can be changed to fit any occasion: congratulations, retirement, new job etc.

The use of a stamparatus is especially perfect for this card.

It allows the perfect placement of each of these ladies. All you have to do is move the plate over one step each time.

Adding the second layer of stamping is also done with precision.

Do you want to mass produce this card? Easy with the stamparatus. You can even place the second stamp on a different plate. It can not get any easier.

Just remember to clean a stamp before changing the color on it.

Rain Dance

Watercolor Embossing Resist is the name of the technique used on the Color Me Irresistibly Designer Series Paper.

Stamps:
   Beautiful You (SU)
   Blue Skies (Verve)

Paper:
   Island Indigo A-2
   Color Me Irresistibly 5 1/4 x 4
   Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Soft Sky
   Tuxedo Black Memento
Markers:
   Island Indigo
   Pool Party

Technique:
   Watercolor
   Watercolor Embossing Resist

Accessories:
   Aqua Pen, Adhesive

All I had to do with this Color Me Irresistibly DSP was to cut it to size. Watercolor on it with my Soft Sky. Let it dry. Then wipe it down with a paper towel and watch the raindrops pop out on the paper. I then stamped my Beautiful You dancer and the sentiment from the Blue Skies stamp set. I used my Island Indigo marker to color in her dress and hat. The Pool Party marker was used to color in the puddle underneath her feet. I then wiped these down to make sure the raindrops came through. I was so excited about this that I did not pay attention to the direction of the raindrops. Oops! I think it is fine. What do you think?

Thank you so much for stopping by here. I appreciate your time and your thoughts.

Gorgeous Umbrella

Here is a traditional clean and simple card in the classic black and white with a POP of purple. The umbrella was colored using markers. I like the sentiment for anyone who has been going through a difficult time, or who has been ill or just needs to be uplifted. We should all strive to be optimistic.

Stamps: Beautiful You
Paper: Basic Black A-2, Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4 (2)
Ink: Archival Basic Black, Markers: Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape
Technique: CAS
Accessories: Adhesive

It is so easy to want to embellish this card more. You can add sequins, ribbon, more color, even rhinestones or pearls, but I think it would distract rather than enhance the card. What do you think?

All supplies can be purchased through my online store. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

I thank you for your time and appreciate your feedback.
