Flighty Thoughts

I used markers to color the bird, but I think I will try watercolor pencils with a blender pen next. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Winterly Tree Tops

Paper:
   Crumb Cake A-2, 3-1/2" Sq.
   Basic Black 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Nests of Winter DSP 5-1/4 x 4
Simply Marbleous 6x6 DSP 3" Sq.
   Basic White 2-3/4 x 2, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
   Coastal Cabana 2-1/2 x 2
   Garden Green 1 x 1-3/4 (2)

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Markers:
   Real Red
   Coastal Cabana
   Pumpkin Pie
   Daffodil Delight
   Crumb Cake
   Soft Suede

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Punching

Accessories:
   Winterly Tree Tops Dies
   Spotlight on Nature Dies
   Washi Label Punch
   Earth Tones Shimmer Gems
   Glue Dots
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I adhered the Nests of Winter DSP panel onto a Basic Black matte and then onto the Crumb Cake card front.

I then stamped, die cut, and colored the bird image, using the Winterly Tree Tops dies and my markers: Real Red for the berries, Crumb Cake on the tree limb, Soft Suede for the Bird's beak and legs, Coastal Cabana, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight were all used to color the bird's body.

Next, I die cut the Crumb Cake square and the Simply Marbleous DSP square, using the Spotlight on Nature Dies. I adhered the Simply Marbleous DSP circle onto the Crumb Cake Circle and adhered these onto the upper part of the card front.

Next, I die cut the two Garden Green pieces, using the Winterly Tree Tops dies. I adhered these two pieces onto the back of the bird, using a few glue dots.

I then added a few dimensionals onto the back of the bird and attached it to the center of the circle die cuts.

Next, I stamped and punched the sentiment, using the Washi Label Punch. I attached it to the card front, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added a few Earth Tones Shimmer Gems and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Happy Friend

Here are some die cut images that will complement any sentiment imaginable. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Winterly Tree Tops

Paper:
   Misty Moonlight A-2
   Basic Gray 5-3/8 x 3-7/8
   Basic White 4-1/4" Sq., 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
Gray Granite 4 x 3/4 (I used Basic Gray, oops)

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Watercolor Pencils:
   Balmy Blue
   Night of Navy
   Crushed Curry
   Cajun Craze
   Cherry Cobbler

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Winterly Tree Tops Dies
   Mini Glue Dots
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I stamped and die cut the images, including the background frame.

I then colored the bird and the branches, using watercolor pencils: Crushed Curry for the Bird and Cajun Craze for the accents on the bird, Cherry Cobbler for the berries on the branches, Balmy Blue for the open leaves on the branches and Night of Navy for the closed pointy leaves on the branches.

Next, I added the background frame to the card front, using dimensionals.

I then stamped and adhered the sentiment to the bottom left of the frame, leaving a bit of the bottom branches showing. I used dimensionals on the bottom of the sentiment to attach it. This allows me room to add the branches and the bird next.

Next, I added the branches to land behind the sentiment. I used dimensionals on the back of the branches.

I then added a glue dot to the front of the bird's feet and a dimensional to the back of his head and attached him to the back of the sentiment and over the leaves.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Bluebirds

Create a background, using the negative from the Winterly Tree Tops Dies. So, when you use the Winterly Tree Tops Die Cut to create a background, be sure to hold on to the negative piece to create this beautiful background. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Winterly Tree Tops
   Something Fancy

Paper:
   Mossy Meadow A-2
   Basic White 3-5/8 x 5-1/8, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
Negative of Winterly Tree Tops Die
   Smoky Slate 3-1/2" Sq.

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento
   Mossy Meadow

Watercolor Pencils:
   Crushed Curry
   Coastal Cabana
   Cajun Craze

Technique:
   Blending Brush
   Die Cutting
   Punching

Accessories:
   Winterly Tree Tops Dies
   Blending Brush
   Artisan Label Punch
   Glue Dots
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I placed a glue dot in the center of the negative piece and aligned it onto the Basic White panel.

I then heavily blended Mossy Meadow ink all around it, using a Blending Brush. Keep the negative still and in place.

Next, carefully turn the negative piece 180 degrees and continue to blend Mossy Meadow on all four sides. Do NOT add any more ink to your brush. This will give you the two tones of Mossy Meadow. I did have to lift the negative up from the panel and reposition it so that it aligned perfectly.

I then stamped the birds on the Smoky Slate square and die cut them.

Next, I colored the birds, using the watercolor pencils. I used the Cajun Craze on the beak of the birds, the Coastal Cabana was used on the wings and accents on the birds, and the Crushed Curry was used to color the berries.

I then adhered the Basic White panel onto the Mossy Meadow card front, and attached the birds to the center of the panel, using glue dots.

Next, I stamped and punched the sentiment, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and the Artisan Label Punch.

Lastly, I attached the sentiment, using dimensionals and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.
