Sandy Adventure

This card can be given for just about any occasion. Whether it's a new job, a relocation, a new venture, or a milestone, simply celebrate together. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Sea of Textures

Paper:
   Calypso Coral A-2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)
   Crumb Cake Scraps
   Sahara Sand Scraps

Ink:
   Always Artichoke
   Basic Gray
   Calypso Coral
   Crumb Cake
   Mossy Meadow

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Under the Sea Framelits
   Adhesive

First, I stamped the sentiment at the top of a Basic White panel.

I then stamped an octopus, using the same ink: Calypso Coral.

Next, I added all of the sea grasses and bushes, using Mossy Meadow and Always Artichoke.

I then added a net in the background with a touch of Basic Gray.

Next, I die cut a couple of sand dollars, using up a few scraps of Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand. I adhered them to the stamped panel.

Lastly, I adhered the panel to the Calypso Coral card front and attached a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Bubbly Octopus

Here is a technique to amuse your inner child. Unfortunately, mine did not want to play nicely, so I stamped a few bubbles in the end. Check it out. You might have better luck than I did. The tutorial is at: Soap Bubble Art

Stamps:
   Sea of Textures
   Bubble Over
   Sheltering Tree

Paper:
   Soft Suede A-2
   Watercolor 5-1/4 x 4
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside), Scrap

Ink:
   Baked Brown Sugar
   Melon Mambo
   More Mustard
   Mossy Meadow
   Soft Sky
   Tranquil Tide

Re-Inkers:
   Orchid Opulence
   Pacific Point
   Pixie Pink

Technique:
   Soap Bubble Art
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Under the Sea Framelits
   Dimensionals
   Straws
   Cups
   Napkins
   Dish Soap
   Adhesive

First, I took the watercolor paper panel and tried to do the tutorial mentioned above, but my bubbles did not come up at all. So I watercolored the background, using Orchid Opulence, Pacific Point, and Pixie Pink. I let the panel dry and then stamped directly onto it.

I stamped the sand, using Baked Brown Sugar.

I then stamped the tall grasses with Tranquil Tide.

Next, I stamped the sentiment and the small plants, using Mossy Meadow.

I then stamped and die cut the Octopus, using Melon Mambo and Under the Sea Framelits.

I attached the octopus with a few dimensionals.

I then added the net, using More Mustard and added a few bubbles with a bit of Soft Sky.

Lastly, I adhered the panel to the Soft Suede card front and adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

Deep Blue Sea

I can only imagine the vastness of the deep blue sea. My preference of course is to stay above the water and breathe, but given the challenge of "Under the Sea," I created a dark blue panel with splotches of a lighter tone. No, really, I painted the panel with acrylic blue paint and got lucky. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Sea of Textures
   By the Tide

Paper:
   Basic White A-2, 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink:
   Whisper White Craft

Acrylic Paint:
   Blue

Technique:
   CAS

Accessories:
   Pearl Basic Jewels
   Adhesive

First, I painted a Basic White panel with blue acrylic paint and waited a minute as it dried.

I then stamped several underwater images using Whisper White craft ink.

Next, I adhered the panel to a Basic White card front.

Lastly, I added a few pearls to represent bubbles and adhered the other Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

I am so excited that you stopped to read and check out my work. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Contact Me and let me know if there is anything I can answer for you.

Underwater

This underwater scene extends all the way to the back of the card. I stamped and colored the images directly onto the card base. You could have more fun and create bubbles, ocean water, swimming fish etc. Basically, you can get as elaborate as you like.

Stamps:
   Magical Mermaid
   Itty Bitty Greetings
   Sea of Textures

Paper:
   Whisper White A-2

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Crumb Cake
   Garden Green
   Merry Merlot
   Mossy Meadow
   Old Olive
   Pretty Peacock

Technique:
   Panoramic Scene: Front & Back

Accessories:
Gold & Clear Wink of Stella

Basically, I cut my A-2 Whisper White panel and stamped the whole scene, including the sentiment.

I then colored the mermaid and added gold and clear Wink of Stella for a bit of glimmer.

Lastly, I folded the card in half.
