Be Mine, Love

I like the movement of the banner on this card. It looks like it is glued down to the card front, but if you stand it up, the banner can swing back and forth. You can easily use this as a traditional Valentine's Day card, or simply to express your love toward that special someone. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   You Plus Me
   Banner Blast
   Post Card

Paper:
   Real Red A-2, Scraps
   Very Vanilla 5-1/4 x 4 (2), Scraps
   Red Glimmer Scraps

Ink:
   Early Espresso
   Real Red

Technique:
   Punching

Accessories:
   Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine 12"
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   Hearts Border Punch
   Banner Punch
   Sticky Strip
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I stamped the Post Card image onto a Very Vanilla panel, using Early Espresso ink.

I then stamped and punched three banners out of Very Vanilla scraps, using Early Espresso ink and the Banner punch.

Next, I stamped a Real Red heart in the center of each of these three banners.

I then stamped and punched two love banners, using Real Red ink and the Banner punch. I added a rhinestone to the letter O on each one.

Next, I adhered the Post Card Very Vanilla panel onto the Real Red card front.

I then made two tiny bows out of Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine.

Next, I placed the baker's twine across the front of the card as shown above. I placed the banners on the card and on top of the twine to see how it would look. This is the step to make adjustments or changes to the "look of the card."

Once, I was happy, I added a glue dot to the two ends of the twine and adhered it to the two corners of the post card.

I then added a very thin piece of sticky strip to the back of each banner - just enough to hold it in place and on the twine. I attached each banner in place on the twine.

Using a glue dot, I then adhered a bow to each of the ends on the twine.

Next, I stamped a sentiment to the left side of the post card, using Real Red ink.

Lastly, I punched and attached three red glimmer hearts to the bottom of the post card and adhered a Very Vanilla panel to the inside of the card.

Christmas Postcard

One way to age your paper is to wrinkle it, tear it, and sponge it. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Post Card
   Teeny Tiny Wishes
   En Francais

Paper:
   Blush Blossom A-2
   Poppy Parade DSP 5-1/4 x 4
   Whisper White 5 x 4, Scrap, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Crushed Curry

Technique:
   Sponging
   Punching

Accessories:
   Word Window Punch
   Sponge
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I took my 5 x 4 Whisper White panel and stamped my Post Card on it.

I wrinkled it up, squishing it into a ball.

I then unfolded it and ironed it out with my hands.

I tore off the bottom, tearing the paper toward me.

I sponged the edge using Crushed Curry. I also sponged parts of it on the wrinkles.

I then adhered it onto the Poppy Parade DSP and then onto the Blush Blossom card base.

I stamped, punched, and sponged my sentiment. This can be changed to suit your needs. I attached it using dimensionals.

Lastly, I adhered the other Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

Post Card Thank You

Getting back to yesteryear...a time when postage stamps cost two cents? Just the thought of sending a post card today is beyond my expectation. Most people who buy post cards will use them to place in a scrapbook instead of actually mailing them. Today, we just post our pictures on Facebook. Then we have the prices of gasoline constantly on the rise, it is no wonder that more and more of our streets are filled with cyclist on bicycles. Not to mention all the people who are out to feel wonderful by exercising regularly. I know we all have friends and family who do just that. So, here is a card just for them. The sentiment can be changed to fit whatever occasion you need.

Stamp Sets: Post Card, Postage Due, Sassy Salutations, Lovely Little Labels
Paper: Always Artichoke A-2, Whisper White 5 1/4 X 4
Ink: Always Artichoke, Pumpkin Pie, Pistachio Pudding, Markers: Always Artichoke, Pistachio Pudding, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Postage Stamp Punch, Little Labels Punch Pack, Dimensionals,
Stamp-a-ma-jig, Adhesive

When you use the post card background stamp, you want to ink it using your marker rather than an ink pad. This avoids getting ink on the wide empty spaces of the stamp that may transfer to your card stock. The stamp-a-ma-jig is needed to get the right placement of the writing and the bicycle. I stamped an extra bicycle, cut it out, and attached it using dimensionals. I also used dimensionals on the two cent postage stamp. This helped to make these images pop out at you. Have fun, share if you like this, and thanks for looking!
