Go To Magic

I wanted to make a card that sparkled. So, I grabbed my glimmer paper. I think it did the trick nicely. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Go To Greetings

Paper:
   Bermuda Bay A-2
   Basic Black 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Myths & Magic 6x6 Glimmer 5-1/4 x 4, 4 x 3
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4, 2-1/2 x 3/4

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:
   CAS

Accessories:
Bermuda Bay 1/4" Shimmery Ribbon (SAB '18)
   Bermuda Bay Sequins
   Glue Dots
   Tear & Tape
   Hole Punch
   Adhesive

First, I adhered the 5-1/4 x 4 Myths & Magic glimmer paper panel onto a Basic Black matte and then onto the Bermuda Bay card front.

I then attached the shaped Iridescent Ice glimmer piece onto the center of the card front, using tear & tape.

Next, I stamped and trimmed the sentiment and attached it, using dimensionals.

I then randomly added some Bermuda Bay sequins, along with some Bermuda Bay glimmer circles, to opposite ends of the card front, as shown above.

Next, I attached a Bermuda Bay shimmery ribbon around the Iridescent Ice panel, using glue dots at various points to keep the ribbon flowing as if floating.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Birthday at the Beach

I chose to color my stamp with my markers. I think it came out beautifully. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Happy Place

Paper:
   Pacific Point A-2
   Basic Black 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink:
   Daffodil Delight
   Balmy Blue
   Soft Suede
   Early Espresso

Markers:
   Balmy Blue
   Daffodil Delight
   Early Espresso
   Old Olive
   Pacific Point
   Pumpkin Pie
   Soft Suede

Technique:
   Blending Brush/Sponging
   Coloring on Stamp

Accessories:
Pacific Point 5/8" Stripped Ribbon (10")
   Party Animal Embellishments
   Blender Pen
   Blending Brushes
   Stampin' Seal+
   Glue Dot
   Adhesive

First, I inked the stamp, using Basic Black ink, and stamped it on a scratch paper to better see the image. I then thoroughly cleaned and dried the stamp.

I then colored the stamp, using the markers listed above. Use any colors you prefer. I began with the Early Espresso and carefully outlined the stamp on the edges of the word, HAPPY. I may have repeated this step at the end before stamping. I can't quite remember. Well, it definitely doesn't hurt.

I used Pacific Point for the water. Early Espresso, but mostly Soft Suede for the land/beach and palm tree trunks. Old Olive was used for the palms on the trees. Pumpkin Pie was used on the distant land/landscape in the background - I wanted it to be like a sunset. I used Balmy Blue for the sky and Daffodil Delight for the sunshine. I outlined the birds with Early Espresso.

I used the Blender Pen to remove ink from the stamp. If I added too much, or thought I colored over a place that should not have color, I used the Blender Pen to lift it, and I brushed it clean on a scratch paper.

Next, I took a Basic White panel and blended the colors on the background, using three different blending brushes. I did this to keep the colors separate. I used Daffodil Delight on the top and came down toward the middle. I added Balmy Blue in the middle, coming in from the sides. And Soft Suede was used on the bottom of the panel.

I then huffed on the colored stamp to moisten the ink, and stamped in the top center of the panel. I added the Birthday on the bottom of the panel, using Early Espresso.

Next, I tied a knot in the center of the Pacific Point stripped ribbon and added it between HAPPY and BIRTHDAY on the card. I used a glue dot to hold the center knot in place and Stampin' Seal+ to secure it on the back.

I then adhered the panel onto a Basic Black matte and then adhered it to the Pacific Point card front.

Lastly, I added a party hat, using a glue dot, next to BIRTHDAY on the card front, and I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Translucent Congratulations

This is a simple, yet beautiful layout to display stamped and punched images as well as specialty designer series paper and embellishments. Thoughts?

Translucent Congratulations

Stamps:
   Dragonfly Garden
   Translucent Florals

Paper:
   Bumblebee A-2
   Blackberry Bliss 4-1/8 x 5-3/8
   Basic White 1-3/4 x 5-1/4, 2-1/2, x 2, 4 x 5-1/4 (Inside), Scraps
   Dandy Garden 6x6 DSP 2-1/4 x 5-1/4
   Paper Pumpkin Leftover Tag 2-3/4 x 5/8

Ink:
   Blackberry Bliss

Technique:
   Punching

Accessories:
   Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim
   Dragonflies Punch
   Ladybug Trinkets
   Tear & Tape
   Glue Dots
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I stamped the Basic White 1-3/4 x 5-1/4" panel with a floral garden image, using Blackberry Bliss ink.

I then adhered the panel onto the left side of the Blackberry Bliss panel, leaving just a smidge of the Blackberry Bliss to show as a matte. I adhered the Dandy Garden DSP panel on the right hand side of this panel, and used the Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim to hide the seam. I used stretched out glue dots to adhere it. Note that the Blackberry Bliss panel is seen as a matte all the way around.

Next, I stamped the dragonfly and the sentiment, using Blackberry Bliss on both. The stamp set includes two dragonflies with different wing patterns, choose the one you like.

I then punched the dragonfly and attached it, using dimensionals. The sentiment was also attached, using dimensionals. I included the measurements of the tag in case you need to create your own.

Next, I adhered this panel onto the Bumblebee card front and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Lastly, I added a Ladybug Trinket and a couple of white, small dragonflies, using glue dots to the card front.

Here is another card with the stamped image on the right side, instead of the left:

Blackberry Congratulations

Gold always seems to make everything look and feel elegant and sophisticated. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Peaceful Moments

Paper:
   Very Vanilla A-2, 3-1/4 x 1-3/4, 4 x 5-1/4 (Inside)
   Blackberry Beauty DSP 3 x 5-1/2
   Rich Razzleberry 3/16 x 5-1/2

Ink:
   VersaMark

Technique:
   Heat Embossing
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Tasteful Labels Dies
   Gilded Gems
   Gold Embossing Powder
   Embossing Buddy
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I adhered the Blackberry Beauty DSP panel onto the left-side of the Very Vanilla card front.

I then adhered the strip of Rich Razzleberry, butting it up next to the DSP panel.

Next, I used the Embossing Buddy on the 3-1/4 x 1-3/4 Very Vanilla piece. Using VersaMark, I then stamped the sentiment and added Gold Embossing Powder to it. I double checked to make sure there were no stray golden specks on the tag. If you have some, you can carefully remove them with a brush.

I then heat set the sentiment and attached it to the card front, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added some Gilded Gems to the sentiment and adhered a Very Vanilla panel to the inside of the card.

New Snowfall

I prefer the images that depict the true meaning of Christmas. What about you? Thoughts?

Stamps:
   A Child is Born

Paper:
   Balmy Blue A-2
   Early Espresso 4-1/8 x 5-3/8
   Basic White 4 x 5-1/4 (2)
   Silent Snowfall Specialty DSP 4 x 5-1/4

Ink:
   Night of Navy
   Pumpkin Pie
   Seaside Spray
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Markers/Blends:
   Balmy Blue (Baby Blanket)
   Blushing Bride (Mary's Garment)
   Crumb Cake (Joseph's Garment)
   Early Espresso (Staff)
   Medium/Light (People)
   Smoky Slate (Joseph's Hair)
   So Saffron (Mary's Hair)

Technique:
   Blending Brush/Sponging
   Coloring
   Tearing

Accessories:
   Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes
   Blending Brushes/Sponges
   Adhesive

First, I blended the "night" colors on the Silent Snowfall Specialty DSP panel. I began with Night of Navy on the top, followed by Seaside Spray and Pumpkin Pie toward the lower third of the card. I used my blending brushes, but you can easily substitute sponges or even try your hand at watercoloring. Whatever works for you! I did use a paper towel at the end to make sure all of the excess ink was off.

Next, I stamped the image on the bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4" Basic White panel, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

I then colored the image using markers and the Medium Light Blends for flesh tones. See list above for the specifics.

Next, I tore the panel around the images, leaving the bottom and a bit of the sides intact to easily align the card. I always tear the paper toward me.

I then added a bit of Pumpkin Pie to the torn edge with a blending brush to give it a bit of a glow.

Next, I assembled the card. I adhered the stamped panel onto the bottom of the Silent Snowfall Specialty DSP panel, aligning the bottom and the sides.

I then adhered this panel onto the Early Espresso matte and then onto the Balmy Blue card front.

Next, I randomly added some Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes to the card front.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

First, I randomly tied knots in the Fresh Freesia Seam Binding Ribbon.

I then added a glue dot, under each knot to secure it onto the Floral Impressions DSP panel. I added a glue dot to each of the ends to secure the ribbon on the back of the panel as well.

Next, I adhered the Floral Impressions DSP panel onto a Basic Black matte and then onto the Fresh Freesia card front.

I then stamped the sentiment, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and added some Fresh Freesia ink to the tag, using a sponge.

Charming Birthday

I like the colors and the simplicity of this card. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Simply Said (2024)

Paper:
   Berry Burst A-2
Floral Charm DSP 2 x 5-1/4 (cut into strips)
   Night of Navy 4-1/8 x 5-3/8
   Basic White 4 x 5-1/4 (Inside)
   Tag - Leftover Paper Pumpkin 3 x 5/8

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:
   CAS

Accessories:
   Petal Pink Braided Trim
   Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots
   Tear & Tape
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I cut the Floral Charm DSP panel. I then cut the panel into strips, keeping them in order: 1/2, 3/8, 3/4, 7/8.

I then adhered the strips onto a Night of Navy panel, leaving room on the left for the braided trim, as shown above.

Next, I added the Petal Pink Braided Trim to the left side of the panel. I used Tear & Tape on the back to keep the trim together. I snipped each of the ends to keep it flush with the panel.

I then stamped my sentiment on a leftover Paper Pumpkin tag, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I included the size of the tag, in case you have to make your own.

Next, I attached the sentiment to the bottom right side of the panel and trimmed off the right edge to keep it flush with the panel. I used dimensionals to attach it.

I then adhered the panel onto the Berry Burst card front.

Lastly, I added three Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots to the upper right corner and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Trimming Pears

The Mossy Meadow & Gold Trim is so beautiful on both sides, I decided to feature both. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Perfectly Pears

Paper:
Darling Duckling A-2, 1-3/8" Scallop Circle
   Secret Sea 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Painterly Pears DSP 1 x 5-1/4, 3 x 5-1/4
   Basic White 1-1/4" Circle, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Secret Sea

Technique:
   CAS
   Punching

Accessories:
   1-1/4" Circle Punch
   1-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch
Mossy Meadow & Gold Trim 6" Strips (3)
   Low-Profile Sparkle Dots
   Tear & Tape
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I cut a 4 x 5-1/4" panel of Painterly Pears DSP. I then cut 1" from the left side and flipped it. Since, the DSP is two-sided, both sides coordinate and complement each other. Note, I did include the size of both panels above, in case you are using two different DSP packs.

I then adhered both panels onto a Secret Sea matte.

Next, I cut three strips of the Mossy Meadow & Gold trim. I laid them onto the DSP panel and flipped the two outer strips. I added tear & tape on the trim to make it easy to attach. You can use glue dots or liquid adhesive as well. I did make sure the strips of trim butted up against each other to make it look like one piece.

I then adhered the panel onto a Darling Duckling card front.

Next, I stamped and punched the sentiment and adhered it onto a Darling Duckling Scallop Circle. I attached it onto the card front, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added a few Low-Profile Sparkle Dots and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.
