Polished Thanks

I hate to cover up beautiful paper. So, when I came across this sketch challenge, I had to grab this beautiful designer series paper pack and display a piece of it on this card front. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Go To Greetings

Paper:
   Polished Pink A-2
   Basic Black 3-3/4 x 3-5/8
   Expressions in Ink DSP 3-1/4 x 2-3/4
   Basic White 4 x 5-1/4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:
   Paper Piecing

Accessories:
   Clear Faceted Gems
   2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds
   Adhesive

First, I cut the Expressions in Ink DSP panel into 3 columns, cutting at the 1-1/16" mark for each one. Remember to measure twice and cut once.

I then took each column and cut 6 rectangles, measuring 7/16 each. Keep these in order and in the right direction. I laid mine out on top of the Basic Black panel.

Next, I took each piece and adhered it onto the Basic Black panel, keeping them as evenly spaced and straight as possible. Liquid adhesive is best because you can still move it for a few seconds before it sets permanently.

I then adhered the Basic Black panel onto the Polished Pink card front.

Next, I stamped my sentiment underneath the image, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

Lastly, I added a couple of Clear Faceted Gems to the image, a couple of Opal Rounds to the sentiment, and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

The Meadow

Create an interesting effect with this cutting and spacing technique. Choose an image and simply cut it into symmetrical pieces. Adhere it onto a solid complementary color with even spacing between the pieces. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   None

Paper:
   Highland Heather A-2
   Basic White 4-1/8 x 5-3/8, 4 x 5-1/4 (Inside)
Meandering Meadows DSP 4 x 4-1/2 (Cutting instructions below)

Ink:
   None

Technique:
   Paper Piecing

Accessories:
   Adhesive

First, I adhered the Basic White panel onto the Highland Heather card front.

I then took the Meandering Meadows DSP panel and cut it into sections with 1/8" or 1/4" spacing. Keep the pieces in order: Begin on bottom and cut 4 strips: 3-1/2 x 1/2 each. Lay them on the Basic White panel on the card front.

Next, the remaining piece is cut vertically. I trimmed about 1/8" from each side first to keep the image I wanted in the center. I then cut the top left piece at 1/2 x 2, middle is 2-1/4 x 2, top right is 1/2 x 2. I laid these out on the top of the Basic White panel.

Once the pieces were positioned where I wanted them, I added adhesive and adhered them permanently.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Thank you so much for giving me a bit of your time. Please Contact Me if I can return the favor.

Rococo Rose Pearls

I used a strip of the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate between the two strips of designer series paper. I think it adds a bit of interest and breaks it up a bit. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   None

Paper:
   Rococo Rose A-2
   Basic Black 4-1/8 x 5-3/8
   Hydrangea Hill DSP 4 x 5-1/4, 3/4 x 4, 1/4 x 4, 2-1/2" Scalloped Circle
Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate 1/2 x 4
   Basic White 4 x 5-1/4 (Inside)

Ink:
   None

Technique:
   CAS
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Layering Circles Framelits Dies
   Pastel Pearls
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I die cut the flowers from the Hydrangea Hill DSP, using the Layering Circles Framelits Dies.

I then adhered the 4 x 5-1/4" DSP panel onto a Basic Black matte and then onto the Rococo Rose card front.

Next, I added the 3/4 x 4" Hydrangea Hill DSP strip to the bottom of the card front.

I then adhered the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate, a bit above the DSP strip, followed by the 1/4 x 4" strip above the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate. I used a couple of glue dots to adhere the acetate to the card front.

Next, I adhered the scalloped circle die cut with the flowers to the center of the card front, as shown above.

Lastly, I added a few Pastel Pearls to the flowers and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Gorgeous Hydrangea

Adding a bit of the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate along with the Hydrangea Hill DSP really made this card front interesting and beautiful. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   None

Paper:
   Rococo Rose A-2, 2-1/4 x 2-3/4
   Basic Black 4-1/8 x 5-3/8
   Hydrangea Hill DSP 4 x 5-1/4, 3" Scalloped Circle
Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate 3-3/4 x 2
   Basic White 4 x 5-1/4 (Inside)

Ink:
   None

Technique:
   CAS
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Layering Circles Framelits Dies
   Pastel Pearls
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I adhered the large Hydrangea Hill DSP panel onto a Basic Black matte and then onto the Rococo Rose card front.

I then adhered the Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate onto the lower part of the card front, using glue dots. Make sure you remove the film, protecting the acetate from scratching.

Next, I added the Rococo Rose panel slightly above and to the right of the acetate, as shown above.

I then die cut and added the Scalloped circle from the Hydrangea Hill DSP. I was able to die cut the Hydrangea from the DSP, flip the paper, and then add the hydrangea back over the die cut portion. This does not always work, but it did in this case.

Lastly, I added some Pastel Pearls to the front of the card and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Irresistibly Crushed

If you like, you can easily add an image or sentiment to the card front. I prefer to leave cards blank and thus determine its purpose by what I choose to write on the inside as I prepare to send it. In this manner, I am always prepared for "All Occasions!" Thoughts?

Stamps:
   None

Paper:
   Petal Pink A-2
Hello, Irresistible DSP 4" Sq. (Tear about 1 inch from the right side and move pieces apart, leaving an inch between them on the card front. Left side is 3 x 4 and right side is 1 x 4)
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   None

Technique:
   CAS

Accessories:
   Crushed Curry Baker's Twine 4" (6)
   Stampin' Seal+
   Adhesive

First, I tore the Hello, Irresistible DSP panel about 1" from the right side.

I then applied some Stampin' Seal+ on the back of each panel to attach the baker's twine. Three pieces on each side. Make sure the pieces are aligned, since the twine will be tied into bows. I added regular adhesive on the rest of the panel.

Next, I carefully adhered the DSP panels to the Petal Pink card front.

I then tied the twine into bows and trimmed the ends.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.
