Birch Tree Christmas

We all have those years when the holidays are not as easy to get through as other years. Here is a card for someone who may be having a difficult time during the Christmas season. It is nice to let them know that they are not alone. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   White Christmas

Paper:
   Basic Black A-2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside), Scrap
Mint to be Fab DSP 5-1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento
   Soft Suede
   Pink Pirouette

Markers:
   Real Red

Technique:
   Dry Embossing
   Punching
   Sponging

Accessories:
   Woodland Embossing Folder
   Washi Label Punch
   Sponge
   Cotton Swab
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I dry embossed the DSP panel, using the Woodland Embossing Folder.

I then applied Soft Suede ink on the trees, using a cotton swab. It didn't take as long as you might think.

Next, I stamped some birds on the branches, and colored them with a Real Red marker.

I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of Basic White and punched it out with a Washi Label Punch. I sponged it with a bit of Pink Pirouette ink and attached it, using dimensionals.

I then adhered the DSP panel to the Basic Black card-front, and adhered the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.
