Countryside Birthday

If you have the patience to score and fold back each piece of designer series paper, this technique is quite interesting. I do like the look of the various blues, and with double-sided designer series paper, the job is even easier. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Translucent Florals

Paper:
   Night of Navy A-2
   Basic White 4 x 5-1/4 (2)
   Countryside Inn DSP 1-7/8 x 2-1/2 (4)

Ink:
   Night of Navy

Technique:
   CAS
   Scoring

Accessories:
   Balmy Blue 1/4" Organdy Ribbon
   Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I cut the four pieces of Countryside Inn DSP and laid them onto the Basic White panel.

I then made note of each corner that sits in the center of the card. This corner is then scored and folded back 1" on each side, forming a diagonal opening. I then used a bit of liquid adhesive to adhere each corner. You can easily use a glue dot as well. I placed each piece back onto the Basic White panel to keep them all in order. Each piece has a different corner folded.

Next, I took each DSP piece and adhered it onto the Basic White panel as shown above.

I then stamped my sentiment in the center of the diamond, using Night of Navy ink.

Next, I adhered the panel onto a Night of Navy card front.

I then tied some Balmy Blue 1/4" Organdy Ribbon into a bow and adhered it to the card front, using a glue dot.

Lastly, I added a few Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the card front and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.
