Birthday Owl

Wise up! Hoot said that? Leave off the sentiment and create an all-occasions card. Change up the DSP and color scheme to make a gender-neutral card. The possibilities are endless. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Sassy Salutations

Paper:
   Pretty in Pink A-2
   Kraft 5-1/4 x 4, 4 x 3, Scraps
Flowers for You DSP 5 x 3-3/4, Scraps
   Whisper White 3-3/4 x 2-3/4, 5-1/4 x 4, Scraps
   Basic Black Scraps
   Old Olive Scraps
   Daffodil Delight Scraps

Ink:
   Passion Pink

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Punching

Accessories:
   Owl Punch
   Leaf Die
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

For the owl, you have two choices: You can punch out the owl using a scrap of Kraft, or you can punch out the owl on the Whisper White panel, adhere it to the Kraft matte, and add the pieces to it. I punched out an owl from a scrap piece of Kraft and adhered it using adhesive.

Once, you have your owl, adhere the DSP on the body and add the eyes above it. You can use googly eyes if you have them.

I then die cut a leaf for the owl to perch on top.

To put the card together, I grabbed the small Whisper White panel and stamped my sentiment on the top of it, using Passion Pink ink.

I then placed my owl on the panel to know where to adhered my leaf branch. I adhered my leaf with adhesive and perched the owl on it.

I then adhered this panel to the Kraft matte.

I took my Pretty in Pink card base and adhered the Kraft panel to the front. I added the DSP on it.

I then took the smaller panel and attached it using dimensionals.

The other Whisper White panel was adhered to the inside of the card.
