Etched Butterflies

This stamp set includes beautiful images for you to capture your creativity. I decided to use pastel colors in the background and more vivid colors on my focal point. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Etched in Nature

Paper:
   Mossy Meadow A-2
   Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4 (2)
Real Red 3" Sq. - Cut in half diagonally

Ink:
   Powder Pink
   Almost Amethyst
   Pale Plum
   Balmy Blue
   Pineapple Punch
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Markers:
   Real Red
   Pear Pizzazz
   Soft Suede
   Crumb Cake
   Mossy Meadow

Technique:
   Blending Brush or Sponging

Accessories:
   Blending Brush or Sponge
   Basic Pearl Jewels
   Adhesive

First, I used my blending brush to blend Balmy Blue and Pineapple Punch on the Whisper White panel. This created my "sky".

I then stamped my butterflies randomly using three pastel colors: Powder Pink, Almost Amethyst, and Pale Plum.

Next, I stamped my main image with Tuxedo Black Memento.

Then I colored it using the markers listed above. I added my sentiment and a few pearls.

I cut my 3" Square on the diagonal and added the red to opposite corner. I then adhered all of the layers together. The other Whisper White panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

  2. I like that the butterflies are soft and airy while the other image is dark and up-front! Nice card!
