Green Leaves

It is time to focus on the POSITIVE! The world around us accentuates the negative. The media tells us that if something isn't wrong then it is not newsworthy. Look at a newspaper and all the headlines point to disaster. So, let's change it! SMILE and be positive. It is contagious. Thoughts?

The background for my image was created a while back using my gel press, acrylic paint and my brayer. Basically, I poured a few drops of acrylic paint onto my gel press. I then used my brayer to spread the paint. I then placed my white paper on it and gave it a press. I created several backgrounds. This one was one of the last that was used to pick up the very last of the ink.

I stamped my tree and then my sentiment directly on top of the background.

I adhered this panel onto the Call Me Clover panel, and then onto the Early Espresso. This was then adhered to the Whisper White card base. The other Whisper White panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

Lastly, I added the Boxwood Wreath to the bottom of the tree. I straighten out the wreath and spread the leaves. This is where I used my Fast Fuse. You can use any strong adhesive that you have on hand.

Here is another picture of the card:

  1. I haven't decided that I need a gel press yet, but I do see interesting results, such as yours. It makes a nice base for some stamping. Keep up with the gel press!

    1. Thank you, Fonda. Every once in a while I take the gel press and create many backgrounds for future use. Sometimes, I use it because of a challenge. Still, as long as you store correctly, it lasts for a long time. I think it is a good investment. You do need a rubber brayer.

  2. I love my gel press but really need to drag it out and use it more. Wonderful BG for that amazing image.

    1. Thank you, Lisa. I don't use mine as often as I would like. Still, when I do ink it up, I create several backgrounds to use in the future. Thanks for dropping by and commenting. Much appreciated.
