Love OSW#8 & #9

Applying ink directly onto an embossing folder can really make a card look artsy. Below are two cards: one with ink and one without. Which do you like better and why? Note that each card includes a list of supplies used right below it.

Applied color directly onto the embossing folder using the markers listed above. I then ran it through the embossing machine.

In all honesty, I made card #9 first. I ran the card front through the embossing machine using the Lovely Floral 3D embossing folder. I felt it was rather plain, so I added color to the embossing folder and created Card #8. It is definitely louder than its predecessor.

I stamped the sentiment on a tag.

Then I adhered a strip of DSP to the bottom of the card front, attached the sentiment using dimensionals, and embellished each card. The other Very Vanilla panel was added to the inside of the card.

Here is the template I used to cut my 12 x 12 sheet of DSP:

The circled pink number refers to the card number where the piece of DSP was used. This entry is for cards 8 and 9.

  1. Two wonderful cards Sally. I think I prefer the white emboss one better with the clean and simple look but only slightly because the colored emboss folder is great too and I could see using that one as well.

  2. LOL! I know what you mean, Lisa. Even when we are not sure we are happy with what we made, we still favor them. Thanks for stopping by here and taking the time to comment. Much appreciated.
