Pretty Black Box with Clear Lid

I like this simple box to hold a set of cards. The lid is clear, so you can see what is inside. The ribbon holds the lid in place. What do you think?

There is an A-2 Card Box Tutorial on SCS. It is where I got my inspiration. I did not follow it exactly, but it also gives you another option and type of box to try.

To create the box itself, I used my Envelope Punch Board. I placed my cardstock on the 3-3/4 inch mark and punched and scored. I then moved the cardstock over to the left and placed the middle of the notch on 2 inches. I then punched and scored again. I then turned my paper and aligned the score lines with the marker on the punch board and then punched and scored. I did this on all sides. I then cut on the wide side up to the score lines.

To create the clear lid I scored it on all four sides at 1-1/4 inches. I sniped each of the corners and creased the score lines. The lid fits right inside the box and is held together with the ribbon. I used about 37 inches of ribbon to go around the box and tie a bow.

The inside of the box measures 4-5/8 x 5-7/8.
