Flaky Season

This snowflake die cut looks great in front of the blizzard. I find it amazing how a die cut, stamp, or Designer Series Paper (DSP) can make me look like a master of my craft, making the adage, if I can do it, so can you, a true statement. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Snowflake Sentiments

Paper:
   Soft Sky A-2
   All Is Calm DSP 5-1/4 x 4
   Lost Lagoon 2-1/4 x 5-1/4
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Basic Black

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies
   Soft Sky Ribbon 6-1/4"
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   Tacky Tape
   Adhesive

First, I die cut the snowflakes using the Swirly Snowflake Thinlits Dies on Lost Lagoon cardstock.

I then adhered the die cut to the bottom half of the DSP panel. I used liquid adhesive, but you can also use a fine tip glue pen or glue dots.

I then stamped the sentiment on the top center of the DSP. You may choose to use a Stamparatus, MISTI, or Stamp-a-ma-jig to get a nice dark print.

Next, I added ribbon on top of the Lost Lagoon die cut and wrapped it around the DSP. I think it brought the two colors together.

I then adhered the DSP panel to the card front, and added the Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

Lastly, I added rhinestones to the middle of the die cut snowflakes for a bit of bling.

Here is another look at the card:

  1. Thank you, Jeanette. I need to play with this die cut some more and see if I can cut the snowflakes and rearrange them. Thanks for stopping by here and taking a peek.
