Friendly Birthday

This designer series paper was too pretty to cover with other paper or images. I like the softness of the Fresh Freesia. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Friendly Hello

Paper:
   Fresh Freesia A-2
   Basic Black 5-1/4 x 4
   Friendly Hello DSP 5 x 3-3/4
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:
   Punching

Accessories:
   Lovely Labels Pick a Punch
   Loose Flower Flourishes
   Basic Pearl Jewels
   Dimensionals
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I adhered the designer series paper (DSP) to the Basic Black panel, and then onto the card base.

Next, I stamped and punched my sentiment with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.

I then attached the sentiment to the center of the card front using dimensionals.

Lastly, I adhered a couple of flower flourishes with glue dots, added some pearls, and adhered the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

  1. I understand what you mean about paper too pretty to cover up. I let the paper take over the show quite frequently! Lately, I've incorporated fancy folds while using fancy paper with great results. At least, it adds some textural interest.

    1. I love it when all I have to do is add a sentiment. Thanks for stopping by here, Fonda.

    2. I agree that DP is gorgeous and a simple sentiment is all it needs to let the paper do all the work on a card.

    3. Thank you, Lisa. I am glad I made the right choice for this card. I still have more of this design and need to come up with some more ideas. I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
