Falling Leaves

I like the detail on these leaf stamps. I also like the look of some of them half stamping on the card. Using the white embossing powder also highlights this feature. What do you think?

Stamps:
   French Foliage
   Banners For You

Paper:
   Cajun Craze A-2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside), Scrap

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Cajun Craze
   Whisper White Craft

Technique:
   Heat Embossing
   Die Cutting
   Sponging

Accessories:
   Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies
   Sponge
   White Embossing Powder
   Dimensionals
   Brads
   Adhesive

First, I randomly stamped various leaves on the card front, using Whisper White Craft ink.

I then quickly applied White embossing powder, heat set it, and placed it aside to cool.

Meanwhile, I took a scrap of Basic White and stamped a sentiment and banner from the Banners For You stamp set.

I then die cut it and sponged the edges, using Cajun Craze. I attached it to the center of the card front, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added a couple of brads on each end of the banner and adhered the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

  2. White embossing the leaves really brought out the details. They look great, and the card is so nice!

    1. Awe, thank you so very much, Fonda. I too like the white against this Cajun Craze color. The ideas in my head do not always turn out the way my mind's eye sees it, but I got lucky with this one. Thanks for dropping by and sharing.
