Thoughtful Thanks

Make use of Paper Pumpkin left-overs right away. It is great to have a few left-overs from the various Paper Pumpkin kits. Still, they do accumulate and are soon forgotten if you put them away. So, I have now decided to try and make use of them right away. I had three tags left-over from the February kit. I know, I am behind in putting my kit together, but there is no set time to get them done. Thoughts?

Frosted Rocks (Paper Pumpkin Kit - Left-Overs)
   Blending Brush/Sponge
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

The instruction sheet, included with each kit, listed the coordinating colors for the kit. I began by pulling all of the colors. I also decided to use my Positive Thoughts stamp set to create my three new cards, using one left-over tag on each card.

First, I stamped the flower image a couple of times, using Rich Razzleberry ink.

I then stamped a couple of butterflies with Fresh Freesia.

Next, I stamped the leaves, using Soft Succulent and Pear Pizzazz. I stamped several in various directions to cover the rest of the panel.

I grabbed my blending brush and added Bumblebee ink across the panel to add a bit of sunlight to the card.

I then adhered the panel to a Basic Black matte, and then onto a card base. I chose Fresh Freesia and Soft Succulent as my card bases.

Next, I added a left-over tag, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added a few left-over frosted rocks on the flowers and tag. I added rhinestones to the butterflies and adhered the other basic white panel to the inside of the card.

  1. I agree, using something up right away helps cut back on the stacks of stuff we accumulate in our craft rooms. That is one of the reasons I started the use up my tote items. It is nearly empty now so I might need to fill it up again for next year. 3 very lovely cards you created.

    1. Thank you, Lisa. I so appreciate your time and thoughts. I was sorting left-overs by category, but some of those piles are getting out of control. So, I decided to begin to just use the left-overs right away.
